North Vancouver Hurricanes (10-1)
Projected Finish – (15-1) #1
North Vancouver has been quiet all season (or they might be talking to quietly to be heard over both Niagara teams) but I think at the end of the season their record will speak the loudest.
Niagara 916ers (10-1)
Projected Finish – (14-2) #2
Hopefully their owner will be done moving with plenty of time to prepare for the Hurricanes and the Current. I think the 916ers will beat the Current but the Hurricanes will surprise them.
Niagara Current (10-1)
Projected Finish – (14-2) #3
I think the entire league is patiently waiting for Niagara vs. Niagara. It will be the battle of the too cockiest teams and I think the Current will drop this one. But, if you’re not the 916ers, Fear the Current.
Cape Verde Jacks (9-2)
Projected Finish – (14-2) #4
The Jacks should win out with one of the easiest remaining schedules but they may struggle against the turtles.
Oshawa Turtles (8-3)
Projected Finish – (12-4) #5
The Turtles really only need to really concentrate on one more game; unfortunately, I don’t think they can beat the Jacks.
Quebec Bandits (7-4)
Projected Finish – (10-6) #6
The Bandits have one of the toughest remaining schedules. They play 3 top 8 teams and I think they will only win one of those.
Toronto Permanent Waves (6-5)
Projected Finish – (9-7) #7
They have the coolest team name ( a close second…RoughRiders?) unfortunately a great name doesn’t mean a great record. The 916ers and Bandits back-to-back will mean back-to-back losses.
Saskatchewan Gigantes (6-5)
Projected Finish – (9-7) #8
Saskatchewan finish the season with two tough games, neither of them I see winning. At least they’ll make the playoffs.
Playoffs:
1. Hurricanes
vs
8. Gigantes
2. 916ers
vs
7. Permanent Waves
3. Current
vs
6. Bandits
4. Jacks
vs
5. Turtles
I was hoping for some sort of mix up but the standings now will be the same at the end of the season if I’m right. There are alot of good games coming up in the East and I could see playoff positioning for the entire top 8 coming down to the last week or two.
