1.) Reykjavik Vikings
This team gets one more week on cruise control before closing the season out with 4 potential playoff teams. The big matchup comes when they head into the Demon Dome of Dusseldorf for a now 1 vs 2 matchup.

2.) Dusseldorf Demon Knights
Dusseldorf continues to have a potent offense and defense is only getting better, with recent addtions to the defense look for the 3rd ranked defense in the conference to only get better. Dusseldorf has a tough matchup vs Bipolar who just upset the Lions this week.

3.) Toledo Scarlet Fever
Their recent loss was not due to a failure on the Fever, but a superior execution of defense on the Zeps, this team is still tough, and to be honest probably should retain the 2 ranking but.... It doesnt look any easier for the Fever as they have the Lions and the Aces coming up.

4.) London Aces
This team is really hard to scout, their offense doesnt bring anything huge to the table with the 9th ranked and 6th ranked pass/rush offenses, but their defense is pretty tough, they allow less than 200 yards total which ranks them in top 3. If they tweak their defense to be slightly more agressive which i think they can get away with, they could force turn overs and let their outspoken HB do some good for them. Next week is a huge matchup with the Zeps

5.) Zurich Zepplins
Rumor is after the close loss last weak, the owner of the Zeps held the entire offense and defenses families hostage until they got a win and it worked with a upset of the year verse the Scarlet Fever who I did no think would lose a game for the rest of the season. They have another test against the Aces to see if they deserve a home playoff spot.

6.) Luxemborg Lions
After tough loss to the Leprechauns, some people in the news room here are wondering if the win against the Zeps was a fluke and what had been said about a creampuff schedule is true about the Lions. They have a back to back Fever/Demon Knight games that no owner in the BBB14 would like to have to plan for. They need to win atleast 2 of the last 5 games in my opinion to secure a solid playoff spot, because with a tough field this year in the alpha conference i dont think 10 wins will be enough.

7.) Bipolar Leprechauns
With a big win over the Lions, this team has secured in my eyes a solid future in the Alpha conference. This team can make a huge run with a few additions in the late season, look for this team to have to fight it out tooth and nail with the Demon Knights and the Vikings being played 2 out of the next 3 games.

8.) Schuylkill River Sharks
After a few anonymous threats to the writer, i took a real godo look at this team, and though they have a 8-3 record i think its due to a favorable schedule couple this with the fact that their loses were not the outtings a playoff team should do in my opinion, i am not willing to rank these guys hire.

HONORABLE MENTION:
I normally wouldnt do this but a quick "Don't Count Me Out" needs to go to the Zombies who put up a really decent showing against the Demon Knights

The problem with the Leprechauns is they're bipolar. How come we had to play them when they were in their manic state???

My how opinions change on the basis of one game, eh Greystone? I expected as much. As for the "creampuff schedule", we play the same teams that everyone else in Alpha plays EXCEPT we had the misfortune of drawing the Smugglers for our one Zeta team. Hardly a "creampuff team", wouldn't you say, Greystone?

It's all good, though. We made you eat your words once and we'll do it again.

Thanks for the mention on the Zombies. That game was closer than it looks they had a 100 yard int return. So it could of easily been +7 for the Zombies -7 for Duss. although they still would of won it was closer . In that game I wanted to put in the guys who didn't start the last game (mostly all lower players). Were still doing a slow build team so winning isn't the main priority getting EXP is.

On another note good game to the Leprechauns. Way to rebound after last games loss to get that upset.

Sir i do call it a cream puff schedule for the most part, you play 2,3,4th ranked team just now in the season. You did have Smugglers which is a tough break but you got to look at all the factors, i mean a 13 point win over Subotica who every other major contender has blown out, your loss to the Vikings was a greater blowout than to the other top 4 teams that have played them (Dusseldorf hasnt yet).

In your first 8 games two were really tough then the next 6 were against teams who have a combined 11 wins between them, please justify that as a tough schedule. You have the Cologne Vikings schedule of last year.

Lastly, i said wondering i didnt say was a fluke

My friend, you are missing my point. With the exception of the first game of the season, everyone in Alpha plays one another. Therefore, if you want to say that we have had a "creampuff schedule" up until now, that may be valid (although I would still contend that the Smugglers, Vikings and Zeps are hardly creampuffs). However, since we all play against one another and we have no control over who we have on our schedule, I'm not sure that is a fair statement to make. As for point differentials, a 13 point win over Subotica has the same result as a 100 point win over the same team to me. A win is a win and I'll take that win whatever the score is. BTW, I never said our schedule was "tough". That is something you assumed I said. I said that by the end of the season, ours is not tougher or easier than anyone else's.

I really do enjoy reading your posts, Greystone. I just don't agree with it! lol

Then let me clarify, i do agree we all play the same teams, but you had a easier first half of the season is a better statement.

Much like college football these rankings margin of victory does matter

Since Greystone's team and my team lock horns soon, I guess you could see it like that! hahaha

not to make excuses, but this team did not have an OC for the first 4 games. The one who was supposed to do it magically disappeared due to some miraculous feat of failed computer technology.. (not to mention the game plan wasn't very good) So, my inexperienced ass stepped in as the OC. First two games, all I did was tweak the generic tactics to get used to the system... which can explain the lackluster scoring and such. This team is much improved since the first 4 games of the season and I think that's pretty clear with our current offensive production.

The last game was a difficult match up for us and honestly it could've gone either way. If the roll of the virtual dice would've rolled a catch instead of those two int's... who knows what the score would've been. Regardless, it was a good job by them and I can't wait for the next couple games to see what magic I can work... if any.
