After going 4-4, I'm back to what my initial thoughts on this league were...just about anyone can beat anyone. There is a very large middle-of-the-pack group who are all about equal and make this tough. I love this league.
Cincinnati Cardinals vs Edmonton Thunderchiefs: After a brutal beating last week by the Maulers the Thunderchiefs are hopefully going over their AI and wondering how to move the ball better against a stingy D. The Cardinals are moving into a really tough stretch facing 7 of the top teams in the conference over the next 8 weeks. We'll see if their current rank at the top is deserved.
Prediction: Cinci by 10.
Manitoba Maulers vs Fort McMurray Mounted Police: FMMP! went FMMMMMMMPPPP!!! last week against a resurgent Jellyfish. The Maulers dominated. I hope that FMMP enjoyed that win they had.
Prediction: Maulers by 31
Vancouver Vikings vs Victoria Fish: The Vikings seem to have found their offense finally after catching a huge bug in their O-AI between their last two games. The fish weren't able to get anything going last week and the stingy Viking D is gonna look to keep it that way.
Predicion: Vikings by 21.
North Bay Drift vs Manitoba Lions: The Drift lost in a very close game against the Vikings and are going to take it out against the Lions who, as their owner said recently, "can't buy a win".
Prediction: Drift by 24.
Canada Dragons vs Arroz Con Pollo: The Dragons have had a fairly easy schedule so far, but have lost the games against better teams. The Bird-men seem to have been superpowered by the sun and are dominating.
Prediction: Pollo by 17.
Alberta Irukandji vs Fhockey.com Demos: A great game for the Irukandji to cement their AI. Good to see you guys in contention again.
Prediction: Irukandji by 21.
Moose Jaw Roughriders vs Saskatchewan Thrashers: Moose Jaw gets a big break and extend their w streak to 2.
Prediction: Roughriders by 172.
Rancho Penasquitos Thunderbolts vs Laval Crusaders: Rancho's 2-6 ranking was so intimidating that the Laval coach decided to let the team go. Or maybe it was the 2 stompings they had just received. Its sad for his players that he gave them up, but I'm sure they'll find a good home somewhere. Rancho gets a freebie here. Or they get the shame and derision of the whole league when they lose to a CPU team.
