Week 9
Pingree Grove Pits (0-8) at Algeria Addiction (5-3)

The Addiction have never lost more than 3 games in a season – ever. The Pits surely won’t cause the sky to fall. Addiction by 35.

Ho Chi Minh Hookers (2-6) at Hakone Heroes (6-2)

The Heroes come to the rescue of the damsels in distress. The Hookers thank them with a free trick. Heroes by 21.

Surabaya Poison Dart Frogs (7-1) at Hell Valley Snow Monkeys (7-1)

These two agree to meet at the Calaveras County Fair for a jumping contest. The Monkeys know how to leap but the Frogs’ experience in these types of contests pay off. Frogs by 6.

Sumatra Sting (8-0) at Manila Cyberballers (0-8)

In the mismatch of the week, the Sting do all the rolling while the Cyberballers remain in their own little world. Sting by 35.

Brutal Deluxe (3-5) at Manila Death Squad (1-7)

The Deluxe claim to be from Brutal but the Death Squad show that they can be brutal this week. Death Squad by 7.

Cambodia Mountain Men (8-0) at Manila Pack (4-4)

The Pack have one big win on their resume so far this season (the Addiction) and hope to surround the Mountain Men this week for a second. The Mountain Men escape out the back door. Mountain Men by 17.

Phuket Water Dragons (2-6) at Seoul Men (2-6)

Not many TiVos will be tuned in to this one. You may be glad you missed it. Men by 7.

New Jersey Beaver Hunters (5-3) at Tibet Psychonauts (4-4)

A must win game for the Psychonauts turns into an old fashion Beaver hunt. But you can’t catch a Beaver Hunter with a straight jacket. Beaver Hunters by 6.

Palembang Tigers (7-1) at Arctic Avalanche (5-3)

These Tigers are a little tougher than the ones the Avalanche buried last week. They actually enjoy the falling snow. Tigers by 21.

Peking Stampede (0-8) at Georgetown United (7-1)

Heck with a win, will the Stampede score this season? Doubtful, unless perhaps they can get the Hookers on their schedule. United by 35.

The Manila Guerrillas (5-3) at Kailua Tigers (0-8)

Kailua mistakes the Manila team for Gorillas. An invitation for a play date turns into a bloodbath. Ouch. Guerrillas by 35.

Malaysian Madness (8-0) at Lea Lea Furniture (7-1)

The Madness can pretty much wrap up the conference race in the next two games with wins over the Furniture and the United. It won’t be easy his week, but they find a big comfy couch to sit on. Madness by 10.

Hanoi Hot Karls (1-7) at Midway Maulers (2-6)

Another one not for TiVo. The Karls warm up a bit though. Karls by 7.

Bandar Seri Begawan Marauders (5-3) at Shanghai Cheetahs (7-1)

The Cheetahs may have their tails between their legs after last week. They regroup this week and escape from the Marauders. Cheetahs by 6.

Garut Fire Horses (2-6) at Shanghai Shadow Dragons (3-5)

The Horses enter the 2nd half on anything but Fire. The playoffs are a long road to hoe for either of these teams, but the Horses will give it a run. Horses by 10.

Taipei Yonghe soybean milk (2-6) at Tibetan Drunk Monks (3-5)

The Monks bring a little Kuhlua with them this week and mix some fine cocktails with the milk. Monks by 28.

I really enjoy reading your write ups bro, but do you think you are being a little modest with the United winning by 35... haha

35 means is going to be an easy win by more points than would be scored in a realistic game. So it could be anywhere from 35 to 255 depending on the mismatch.

I'm beginning to think J has it out for the monkeys. Seriously, A monkey is going to outjump a frog every time.

Wow, a training program like that makes me seriously reconsider this pick.

Good one in Garuda. Lea Lea with the upset. 31 4th quarter points to win it.
Those Big Heart VA's are finally paying off for the Furniture boys. Cruise control maybe?

Whatever the case, Congrads to Lea Lea.

It would be epic if the monkeys played Palembang.

The Guerrillas could take a lesson from their primate cousins when facing big cats as well:
