Is what everyone is in once the D-play creator goes live. Just a warning. I'll be even happier when an O-play creator gets put in.

Looks like it'll make things fun, as long as players stay in the lanes you put them.

I give it 2 seasons before Bort has it working correctly.

at least, its still in alpha after all. He has to find a way to fix the Oline AI or else this will be an IWin button for defensive teams with decent coordinators.

bortie claims that he did testing by overloading ends, and the Oline was able to hold their own. I'll see it when I believe it.

Good luck completing a 3rd and long pass ever again, though.

Well think of it this way, since the Offense has been owning the field the past few seasons, he is going to let the defense have the field for a few seasons until he caves to the whiners about the D being too strong and then the O will rule again...

I don't care about it, really.

If we had the ability to assign man coverage assignments and give secondary options if assignments stay in to block (prevent the LBs spooning in the middle of the field), we wouldn't need this. Only adding those things will keep it from being overpowered, imo. Why can't we get an update that doesn't demolish any current sense of balance?

I honestly don't think it's that bad now. I know offenses have had the advantage, but I think a lot of people prefer higher scoring games. It's not OCs vs DCs, both teams beneft from one side being better than the other.

I know most want this to be a true football sim, but I prefer treating it like a game. I spend too much time on here with 2 teams as it is. Now i'm going to have to create my own playbook?

I could use the ai I have now, I know, but the glaring weakness with that is coverage assignments and secondary options. That's all I want, really.

I'm totally with bleeds on this. If Bort would stabilize his stats and field play, this would be nice icing on his cake but since that is still unstable this represents wasted time, the chance for breaking the game and most likely an effort that will have to be re-done in a few seasons when he totally changes the AIs again.

I hope I can put some plays together and dominate on my team. I have already made several different formations. From 46 to 5-2-4's, to 4-4's ...

I don't know that I understand the lovefest with the 4-6.

Looking at the posts in the designer forum, it looks like a 4-4 to me.

Well, you cant really do a true 46 defense in GLB....

In a true 46 defense the LE would line up to the RG. Leaving the RLB on the ROT, and the LLB on the TE. The SS would come up in Sam. Lining up where the RLB should have been. Putting the MLB where the LLB should have been. Putting the FS up top where he would be in a cover 1.

I'm unimpressed with it except for the ability to designate man coverage. Even then it's not that great. It would be better to let you match up players and not positions. The d-line has very limited movement. The LB's can move around okay but unless you are blitzing them there really isn't a reason to move them. CB's have limited movement toward the QB so there is no advantage to blitzing them. I guarantee if I know a team is using this I'll beat it. ( just kidding Vikings ) ( maybe )

lol no matter what Bort does everyone complains, it's funny. i don't see any reason to complain about this. unless you don't like the fact that OC's will never complete a 3rd and long pass again hahaha. OC's will have to scout the defense pretty much every game to know what they're going to be running.

there should be sortable stats available so that you can check what formations the other team is using, etc, etc, this way you wouldn't have to review game replays everytime which always ends up taking 30-60 minutes once you get into it.

there may be a script for this already available that i know about?
