As the owner of the Melbourne Dreadnoks, it has been fun building a team that has risen from the bottom of Oceania to the Pro's. Winning a championship and competing for 2 along the way. But the struggle to stay at the top has burnt me out. I have always enjoyed building a team and meeting new agents much more than the struggle to maintain a roster and stay at the top. I am getting back to what I enjoy most in GLB and that is the challenge of building a successful team.

I am going to be disbanding the Dreadnoks, and starting over with a level 1 team. I wanted to give the guys in our current league first crack at any of the players before informing the entire GLB realm of the availability because you guys have a very competitive league, and deserve first shot, if you have any interest in my players. I apologize if anyone is upset about the move, but with only a few seasons of production left in these original players, I want them to have the opportunity to compete in their final seasons, and I want to get back to what I enjoy on the site at the same time. If we had beaten a few teams, I would delay the breakup until the end of the season in fairness to the teams that had already played us, but at 1-6 I dont think it would be unfair to our remaining opponents since that would mean everyone will get to beat us but one team. I wish you all the best of luck, and I am trading the players for cash only. I will not trade anyone without the agents consent, so please discuss it with the agent before sending an offer. If I dont hear from my agent, the offer will not be accepted. Some of the players already have homes, so check the trading block to see who is still available. And again, thank you for allowing us to compete in a great league, and best of luck to all of you.

It's been great having you up here - you had a great game against us as well. Sorry to see you go (and it probably means Emerald City stays in OPL for another year - it's a shame when a team like the Gods or Wildcats in Zeta has to go down)

I appreciate it guys, and I hope there are no hard feelings, I just know if I stay here and deal with the frustrations of this league along with the fact our builds have been so jumbled trying to adapt to a new sim every season for 7 seasons, that I am going to burn out and not want to be here anymore. I really enjoy recruiting and building teams more so than tactics and scouting and wasnt getting enough help from other agents to put together a competitive gameplan at this level. I am better suited to building up a team from scratch (2 seperate teams- 3 trophies, 5 promotions) than going through the grind of competing at the PRO level, its just not for me, and its unfair to my agents to keep them stuck on a team that is not putting in the time that is needed to compete at this level. This is a great league, and IMO the most competitive and toughest league in GLB, I am proud to say I brought my team to the best league in GLB and made the playoffs in our first season last year, but its time to start anew and raise another team from the ground up. I enjoy the climb to greatness much more than the struggle to stay there. I will be starting the team with all level 1 guys on the first day of season 8, so if any of you would like to join me with a player, feel free to PM me, I would just ask that you wait until the very first day of season 8 to build him since I want them all to be as close to the same birthdate as possible so they can all grow together.

In a season like this, there should be no hard feelings, and no surprises. Not only has league competition increased, making the time investment all the more necessary, but Bortifications have caused a constantly shifting bullseye that is tough to adjust to. To put all that work and research into a "game" and have it pay little or no dividends in terms of wins and losses, has got to be demoralizing. I would be shocked if we don't lose a lot more teams between now and day one, season eight.

In short, I totally understand your frustration, and I wish you the best in your future GLB endeavors. You are not the first to have to make this difficult decision, and you won't be the last, but at the end of the day . . . its a fricken' game, and should be treated as such. Anybody who has a problem with your decision has totally lost touch with reality.

God Bless and good riddance!

I appreciate it guys. Thats exactly how Im looking at it Mcgruff, its a game, and right now, it hasnt been fun for me for a while now. I actually considered this last season even though we were a playoff team, simply because the effort needed to compete at the top is too much for 1-2 people in my mind, and although my agents are great players, most of them did not have the time to contribute much more to the gameplanning aspect which left Me to run the show myself after my GM got his own team too. I think the Pros are great, and if you have help with running the team it can be done, but by myself I just burnt myself out and lost the fun I had playing this game for so long. I really like the site (despite the changes every season) and didnt want to burn out completely so it was time for a change, and a new challenge.

Sadly, I don't think that'll be the last of the foldings in GLB this season, the time committment has just gotten way too huge.

Totally understand. Trust me if I wasn't like addicted to this game(there is no way I could stop coming on here and checking my guys and team and stuff even if I tried) I would quit this game after my contract ran out. The constant Bortifications and having to adjust to different stuff every season gets old, especially when you work, so hard and it doesn't pay dividends. I'm right there with you in your reasons of selling the 'Knocks.

lemmings...everyone is lemmings i say..we run one way because bort says so, then back to another direction because thats the new way etc etc.

Essentially it burns people out trying to adapt and they run off the GLB cliff.
