Obviously we changed the formula here, as noted in the other thread. A "blowout" is now capped at +50, for a maximum bonus of 5 points for a lopsided win. I also tweaked down the punishment for losing and the punishment for loss totals for opponents who beat you. Teams now take a 2.5 point hit for losses, and a 1.5 point hit for each loss by a victorious opponent. This really changed the dynamics of how accessable the "next" category is to any given team.
Big winners from this new format:
Gods of War, whose +18 SoS is far and away the best amongst the 6-1 teams, and also trumps that of the Ironmen (+15)
Berlin Crusaders, whose +8 SoS overcomes their 3 losses and +8 net MoV and puts them ahead of the 5-2 Blaze (+1 SoS)
Big Losers from this format: The Warriors, who drop all the way down to the bottom of the charts.
Noteworthy: Dubious congratulations are in order for the Bayside Tigers this week. They didn't notch their first win, but they did score their first touchdown of the year, after being shut out six straight to open the season. Unfortunately, they have the additionally dubious honor of being the only team to be officially "blown out" every game this season.

Starting week 9, I will no longer report on teams who have dropped out of playoff contention - so if any of you in the bottom 6 right now want your team to hang in on the charts, I suggest you do whatever is necessary to pick up a win or two between now and then.
