I double checked my numbers and there was 1 score that was off -- I gave Chernobyl a 204-6 win instead of 104-6, so that could be responsible for any weird Alpha rankings. It's all fixed now

Zeta Projections

1 The Cape Town Cubicles 16 0
2 Monty Pythons 15 1
3 The D-League Home For Underprivileged Children 14 2
4 Rome Raiders 13 3
5 Sevastopol Wolverines 12 4
6 Constantinople Romans 11 5
7 C-Town Hoodlums 9 7
8 The Wheatfield 8 8
9 Transylvania Terror 7 9
10 Draguignan Dragons 83 7 9
11 Terlingua Javelinas 6 10
12 Subotica Scorpions 4 12
13 Grodno Titans 4 12
14 Columbus Crush 2 14
15 Chernobyl Radionuclides 1 15
16 Elancourt Templiers 0 16

The only significant change is C-Town moving down after losing to the Wolverines in a wild 4th quarter. D-League barely got away with a win that would have otherwise thrown the top 8 into chaos.

Zeta RPI

1. Monty Pythons .667
2. The D-League Home For Underprivileged Children .638
3. The Cape Town Cubicles .630
4. Constantinople Romans .602
5. Sevastopol Wolverines .585
6. Terlingua Javelinas .544
7. Rome Raiders .535
8. Transylvania Terror .524
9. C-Town Hoodlums .515
10. The Wheatfield .508
11. Subotica Scorpions .429
12. Draguignan Dragons 83 .424
13. Chernobyl Radionuclides .412
14. Columbus Crush .383
15. Elancourt Templiers .373
16. Grodno Titans .367

The closest projected matchup coming up is C-Town v. Cubicles (-16). C-Town had the bad luck of playing the #1 team in Alpha (in a game where they were winning going into the 4th). While they're beating the middle tier teams, they keep losing close ones in pivotal games that will hurt them later on. They've made improvements since last season, but the Cubes should cover the 16 pts.

Alpha Projections

1 Chernobyl Meltdowns 16 0
2 NISSA Dauphins 14 2
3 Kharkiv Thrashers 13 3
4 Woburn Tanners 13 3
5 Transylvania Impalers 10 6
6 Tallaght Outlaws 10 6
7 Lisbon Crows 9 7
8 Saratov Catrades 9 7
9 BERLIN RAIDERS 9 7
10 Black Sea Pirates 8 8
11 Sacramento Storm 5 11
12 Fehérvár Enthroners 4 12
13 Tskhinvali Rebellion 3 13
14 Bohemian Grove Molechs 3 13
15 Jax Beach B.O.H.I.C.A 1 15
16 International Players 0 16

Alpha RPI

1. Chernobyl Meltdowns .662
2. NISSA Dauphins .635
3. Kharkiv Thrashers .611
4. Black Sea Pirates .549
5. BERLIN RAIDERS .536
6. Lisbon Crows .526
7. Woburn Tanners .515
8. Transylvania Impalers .513
9. Tallaght Outlaws .509
10. Saratov Catrades .499
11. Tskhinvali Rebellion .460
12. Jax Beach B.O.H.I.C.A .407
13. Fehérvár Enthroners .384
14. Sacramento Storm .367
15. Bohemian Grove Molechs .350
16. International Players .338

I have no idea if the Alpha rankings make sense because I don't know the teams. But looking at some of the numbers, e.g. I don't know why the Crows are projected so low, although every team they've beaten has been in the bottom 8. Someone mentioned Saratov was projected too high, but it looks like they're shifting back down.

Closest projected game is Outlaws v. Saratov (+8)

My guess is we´re projected this low based on who we played against up to this point. We still have to play some tough opponents, in fact the meat of our schedule starts after we face the International Players, which is next, so we´ll get to see if we go up or not.

Thrashers clearly need to start scoring more style points so we go up in the BCS rankings.

We looked pretty lousy our last game. Turnovers inside the 20, and our defense didnt like getting off the field on 3rd down. Offense was mostly stagnant besides some large plays. We sustained maybe 1 drive. I wont know until I get home, but I think we got destroyed in the ball control category as well.

I think Pollsters were right to give us another loss!

*Maybe that win will give us +Character pts!

Ok I figured out the Lisbon conspiracy, it's just quirky behavior in the spreadsheet.

In winning their inter-conference game 164-7, they were the only team to give up any points to Elancourt this season. Since Elancourt has not scored in the 6 games after, the spreadsheet will treat Lisbon as a really crappy team until they finally score on someone else.

If I change that score to 164-0, Lisbon actually jumps to a 15-1 projection

More realistically, if Elancourt had scored on another team, Lisbon projects to a more reasonable 12-4
