Rk- Team----------record---------Last ranking------next game-------write up

-----Leader of the pack-------
#1 Northern Demons----(6-0)--------(1)-------------#14 Cardinal Redbirds-------------------Was given the tough test of the season so far and still won by 22 points. This game against the Redbirds won't be that close.

-------The Battle for playoff positioning----

#2 Vancouver "Pitbulls"------ (6-0)---------(2)--------#16 Toronto Red Devils-------------A bye week for the Pitbulls then it will be their toughest game to date.
#3 Whistler Warriors--(5-1)--------(4)------------#9 Montreal Mutants--------------Should be able to get past the Mutants in this next game and then it will be the conference's top game to date.
#4 Hogwarts Wizards--------(4-2)--------(3)-----------#12 Ottawa Jaguars------------Picks up the second loss of the season but should get back on track with a win over the Jags.
#5 NuvaNut Knights-----------(4-2)---------(6)-------------#8 New Cologne Bears------Looks like they have things figured out with 3 straight wins now. The Bears will be tough but this should still be a win for them.
#6 Yellowknife Eskimo Hunters-(4-2)--(5)-------#13 RC Gladiators---------------Gave the best time in the league a run for their money for 3 quarters before the Demons put it away. Should get back on the winning track against the Gladiators.

-----The Battle for 8th--------

#7 Vancouver Northern Lights-(5-1)-----(8)-------------#10 Calver Eagles---------------Has played the easy part of their schedule in the first half is why they are still at the bottom of the playoff barrel. Should beat the Eagles in this one though.
#8 New Cologne Bears---------(4-2)------(9)---------------#5 NuvaNut Knights---------OK half their games was against the 3 worst teams. They are entering the part of the schedule that will be able to see what they are made of.
#9 Montreal Mutants------------(2-4)--------(7)----------#3 Whistler Warriors----------I can't leave a 2-4 team in the top 8. So they are just outside of that. I think a strong second half is to come for this team but the Warriors are not the team things will change for.

----Outclassed-------

#10 Calver Eagles-------------(2-4)---(10)----------------------#7 Vancouver Northern Lights-----------------Riding a high with the last 2 games. If they can figure out a way to upset the Northern Lights, there is a chance for a 4 game winning steak.
#11 Da Nang Gang Bangers-------(2-4)-----(11)-------------#15 Alberta Mounties----------Nothing like playing the Red Devils and Mounties back to back to lift a team's spirits.
#12 Ottawa Jaguars------------(2-4)---(12)-------#4 Hogwarts Wizards-------------------------This won't even be game. Big Time win up coming for the Wizards.
#13 RC Gladiators-------------(2-4)---(13)--------#6 Yellowknife Eskimo Hunters---------------------Crushed by the Eagles and the Hunters should do more of the same.
#14 Cardinal Redbirds--------(1-5)----(14)-----#1 Northern Demons----------------Only lost 5 games including playoffs in the first 2 seasons. They have now matched that here in the 3rd season and will surpass it against the Demons.

------Headed down to BBB-----

#15 Alberta Mounties---------(0-6)----(15)-----#11 Da Nang Gang Bangers------------------------Nothing to say about them.
#16 Toronto Red Devils------(0-6)-----(16)------#2 Vancouver "Pitbulls"----------------Stat for Toronto's last game 13.5 net yards on 106 plays for an average of 0.127 yards per play.

Games of the week:

#7 Vancouver Northern Lights (5-1) vs #10 Calver Eagles (2-4) - This is a sad sad week when this game gets top billing, but the winner might have a shot at the 8th spot. Only reason the Eagles are getting this much credit is because of their last 2 games.

#3 Whistler Warriors (4-1) vs #9 Montreal Mutants (2-4) - I could have picked the Knights/Bears game, but I think the Knights are the ht team right now and the Demons might have a little fear in playing them. The Mutants have played a tough schedule and is a better team than the record shows. For the Warriors there is the risk of looking past the Mutants and to that big match up with the Pitbulls.
