Well I finally got them done. There should be a lot of good games to watch this week. Lethoso is the only one I am going to guarantee wins! Anything can happen in the rest of the games.
Ethiopian Food Mongers (1-4) vs. Benin Black Mambas (1-4)
Both these teams have struggled early on as their records indicate. I expect this to be a high scoring game as both teams are led by great QB's in Goin Deep and Byran Pearson who have both enjoyed personal success despite their team's shortcomings so far. Neither team has shown much on defense either, which makes the perfect recipe for a shootout. The winner has a chance to turn their season around. I think the top 7 teams in the league have seperated themselves from the rest. It will be a battle for the 8th spot, and both teams need this win if they want any chance at that.
Benin-48 Ethiopia-38
P-Town Ballaz(3-2) vs. Uganda Crowned Canes (2-3)
P-Town has been pretty impressive so far with only a pair of close losses to good teams. Uganda has been scrappy and nearly upset the Jayhawks last week. On paper P-Town should win this game, but that's why we play the games. Uganda will need to force a lot of turnovers again like they did last week to have a chance. I think they will raise some eyebrows again, but fall short. The winner of this game puts themselves in a good position to make the playoffs. The loser might have to settle for the role of spoilers.
P-Town- 28 Uganda-17
Freetown Jayhawks (4-1) vs. Zimbabwe Hyenas (5-0)
This is the game to watch this week! Both teams have looked solid early on in the season and look to establish themselves as the team to beat in the Elephant Conference. Both teams have well balanced teams with a lot of weapons on offense. As always a key turnover or stop could be the difference in this one. I don't know what will happen, but I'm hoping for a good close game. (with a Jayhawks win of course!)
Freetown-31 Zimbabwe-30
Egyptian War Gods (4-1) vs. Ivory Coast Breakers (1-3-1)
Egypt just needs to take care of business today against the Breakers from Ivory Coast. I expect the War Gods offense to run over the Ivory Coast Beakers and put them away early in the second half. I'm predicting a big game from the War God's TE Jesse"Six Guns" James in this game!
Egypt-55 Ivory Coast-21
Savanna Pride (2-2-1) vs. Madagascar Grand JagerMenze (2-3)
This should be another good game as both teams battle for position in the middle of the standings. Savannah got their rushing game absolutely shut down last week against the Wild. That does not bode well for them in this matchup against the Grand JagerMenze. I expect this to be a low scoring game won by field goals.
Madagascar-23 Savanna-17
Michigan Nation (5-0) vs Cardiff Cobras (4-1)]
If Freetown vs. Zimbabwe was the game of the week, this certainly has to be a close second. After Cardiff's loss to the Jayhawks they have bounced back with three straight wins. This is the first real test for Michigan with the exception of the Ethiopia scare a few weeks back. As much as I'd like to pick Cardiff to "upset" Michigan in this one, I just can't. Cardiff's defense looked a little suspect last week giving up 45 points to Ivory Coast. Unless they address the major concerns on defense I don't see them beating the solid squad from Michigan. Look for a big game by the sackmaster A.W.E.S.O.M.E-O 4000 for Michigan.
Michigan-51 Cardiff-35
Mauritius Mountain Lions (4-1) vs. Madagascar Wild (4-1)
Here is another good matchup between two 4 win teams. Both teams have had fairly tough schedules and share one thing in common as they have both only lost to Zimbabwe. I like Madagascar in this one as I think they have the tougher defense which will make the difference. Players to watch in this one are Marty the Zebra for the Wild, and Ben Pevarski for the Mountain Lions.
Madagascar-31 Mauritius-21
Rhodesian Ridgebacks vs. Lethoso Rollers
FINALLY! That is what Lethoso has to be thinking this week. A lot of heart breaking losses to good teams so far for Lethoso..but they get a chance to catch their breath with a free win against Rhodesian Ridgebacks today. Who knows, maybe they'll get on a winning streak and get back in the mix.
Lethoso-156 Rhodesian-3
