Use your Net present value formula to determine whether you build new or stand pat and repair. dont forget to factor in your current treasury rate for inflation.

you have sunk costs in current PPE and you have to determine if new investment will give you a higher IRR.

Pfft Im not touching IRR. The NPV answer you gave was exactly what I had planned for though. I wont forget the inflation dont worry. Nor will I forget to take the NPV of each year and then convert all of them to a present value by multiplying by i/1+(1+i)^-n.
