Cincinnati Cardinals: 10 Previous: 10
Cards have proven, much like many teams in CA#5 have and will, that the Fish are no daisies. Cincy was able to do whatever they liked including step out for a Mani/Pedi in the second half. Matchup: Dragons

Manitoba Maulers: 9 Previous: 8
The Maul dominates the Vikings. I just freaking love this team. I love it so much I want to take it behind the bleachers and get it pregnant. The Maul DEs attempted that same maneuver on the Vikes QBs in this match up. It was only pretty if your into that kinda stuff. Gross. Vikes had -2.3 rushing average and were sacked 12 painful times. Note to all of the West, Mani has some DEs that you may want to game plan for, they are just sick. Matchup: Mani Lions

North Bay Drift: 8.5 Previous: 8
The Drifters tormented Moose Jaw. 8.3 rushing average, 9.1 passing. There were touchdowns a plenty for the North Bay team. Moose Jaw put in a good effort but NB was just a better team that asserted itself. Matchup: Rancho

Edmonton Thunderchiefs: 8 Previous: 8
Ding Dong. You guys CRUSHED Laval. Wow. No corner of domination and humiliation was overlooked or unexplored by Ed. Your D used and abused. Your O penetrated and humiliated. Nearly 600 yards for the Ed and only 205 for the Crusaders. Laval will have to head back to the drawing board. The Thunderunknowns are chomping to get known for this matchup. Matchup: Urkels

Alberta Irukandji: 8 Previous: 9
I would love to know what is going on in Alberta today! Must be like the ending scene in Unforgiven. A "less than Juggernaut" Lions squad breaks the Urkels heart in the last second, but that is not the whole story. Alberta had to come back and score 2 TDs in the fourth just to get back in this game, one with just 26 seconds left. With 25 seconds the Urkels KO with a one point lead. Rack hounds team takes 3 plays and busts a 43 yarder for the 2 point win. Impressive. Urkels gave up a touch to many yards to a struggling Lions team and were 33/72 passing themselves. That is pretty unhealthy. No time to morn, the Thunderunknowns are intent on making themselves known to Alberta. Matchup: Thunderunknowns

Moose Jaw Roughriders: 7 Previous: 7
North Bay wore you out like a 12 year old boy wears out his private time. Good O squad from the Moose, it showed some promise (outside of the dozens of overpowered screens you ran). The Moosers D was very over matched. They had no answer for either Drift HB. Combined they put up 487.5 yards on the Moose D. Chance to recover this week. Matchup: Fish

Vancouver Vikings: 7 Previous: 8
So I meant to put in the post last week that the Maulers had a couple DEs that you may want to account for. My bad. It almost looks like the result of that game could be traced back to the 12 times your QBs were diddled at the bottom of the furry pile. It was just a smashing. Good Day. Matchup: FMMP

Arroz Con Pollo: 6.5 Previous: 6
Some nice bounce in the Arroz squad last couple weeks. Much needed win over FMMP. Good balanced offense with 5 yard average each. Pass D was picked on for 8.7 yard average per completion. They threw it and threw it deep on you, looks like. Only held FMMP to one punt. A win is a win in the West. Do not slip up and lose this one. Matchup: Demos

Rancho Penasquitos Thunderbolts: 6.5 Previous: 6.5
Rancho beats a vacant Demos team. So far they beat who they are supposed to and lose to who they are supposed to. They are kinda like a Choose Your Own Adventure book, but the Teachers edition with all the right answers highlighted. Nothing to special in this win, just a good solid beating of a team your expected to beat. A real test is next. Matchup: Drift

Manitoba Lions: 5.5 Previous: 4.5
Wow, Wow and Wow. Rack and crew definitely put their stamp on S7 here in CA#5 with a shocking win over what I thought was the second best team in the West in the Alberta Urkels. Not sure how you guys have done it really. It seems you didn't solve any of your offensive issues. True you gained more yards but not the way god intended. Remarkable. 2.9 average rushing and 22/42 passing 11 punts and a win! Props to you guys for scrapping that one out. Matchup: Maul

Canada Dragons: 5.5 Previous: 5.5
Hope you enjoyed your vaca in chilly Saskatchewan. Back to reality, snap there goes gravity.... Matchup: Cards

Fort McMurray Mounted Police: 5 Previous: 5
Pollo pretty much beat you guys fair and square. Mounty D was ineffective stopping anything the Chicken was doing. 5 yard averages in rushing and passing were given up by the FMMP D. The FMMP O was pass happy, slinging 68 attempts. However in the end, a familiar result. FMMP loses. Matchup: Vikes

Laval Crusaders: 5 Previous: 6
The Thunderunknown drank your milkshake. They may have exposed your squad as "not ready for prime time". 205 total Laval yards will win you very few games. I wont even talk about your D performance, I have an obligation to my readers to spare them the gore. Chance to rethink things this week. Matchup: Thrash

Fhockey.com Demos: 4 Previous: 4.5
So the demos dumped another +3 match up to Rancho, back to back now. Really guys, same story every season. Chat about doing better and that CA#5 better beware, then a prompt Exit onto Irrelavence Drive by the Demo Bus. Matchup: Original Recipe

Victoria Fish: 4 Previous: 4
Looking more and more like Fish out of water. Cards held you guys to 165 yards, 1.5 rushing and 3.2 passing, all while a 51-51 matchup (according to GLB). Cards sacked your QB 7 times and forced you to punt 10 times. On D you gave up 3 60+ yard TD plays, 2 of them rushes. Anytime you guys want to show up for S7 the West would be grateful. I don't care if you guys get mad or weepy, I just wish you would bone up and play. A good Fish team makes the West that much more fun. Right now you guys bring the average down, way down. At least the Thrash is under leveled, you guys are over leveled some of your games and you still manage to look weak. Its fine with me if you get mad and put a target on the Drift just because I have the nuts to call you out, just wake up and make this season legendary for everyone. Matchup: MJ

Saskatchewan Thrashers: 0.00001 Previous: 0.0001
Housekeeping! Fluffy pillow? Matchup: Laval

Cheers!

There are some epic lines in the OP.

On that note, I'm going to wear out my private time right now.

I totally disagree.

I don't know how to say this without sounding like I don't appreciate how good every team in this league is but...

WE KICKED 5-70 YARD FIELD GOALS! THOSE RESULTED MOSTLY IN DEFENSIVE STOPS THAT GOT ARROZ...(HORN BLARING!)...FG'S. THERE WAS AT LEAST ONE TOUCHDOWN AS A RESULT OF A 76 YARD FIELD GOAL ATTEMPT. WORKING WITH A SHORT FIELD, THAT'S AN EASY DAY FOR ANY TEAM.

BOTTOM LINE IS WE CAN'T PULL OUR PANTS UP FASTER THAN THEY KEEP FALLING DOWN. I THINK WE'VE FINALLY GOT IT UNDER CONTROL, BUT YOU CAN'T SAY "FAIR AND SQUARE".

Look, I'm not that guy. I think that Arroz has a helluva team in a very tough conference. I think that every team we have played so far has been tough. But what we did was essentially have turnovers not created through fumbles or interceptions, but stupidity.

Please, don't take offense Senor Chicken, I'm just trying to defend myself here. We've just had a rough time and hopefully we can get it going.

Not trying to sound like an ass.....But, every team here has to set up there ai, and if there is a mistake, Its a mistake any of us could make. Wich to me means if you screw up your ai its still a fair loss. Sucks ass but shit happens. Kicking is fairly easy to track down. theres only a few inputs to check in order to fix that problem. Just go back to any input dealing with your kicking and change it. personally I let the ai decide how far we can make a kick. We miss some, but Ive never seen it attempt one from farther than 55 yds.

Sorry razor didn't check for 70 yard FGs.

Razor, even without those FG attempts, 70 yards means you weren't getting across the field and they were averaging 5 yards a play. That is gonna end up with a W next to their name every day. Not trying to pick on you or anything, just saying that Crockrh wasn't doing so either. AI problems aside, ya'll weren't winning that game it seemed.

Keep piling it on guys, maybe he'll snap.

Seriously, just let him fume. He's fired two OCs already iirc and can't seem to get the ball rolling.

I know it sucks, and I bet they get it together eventually. But let him get it off of his chest.

I think I speak for the entire league in saying... we really hope you keep your pants up.

AI issues are tough, it is hard to swallow a loss when there are serious issues making the game sim 'unbalanced'. I don't know if this helps any and I don't have any understanding of the circumstances- but it sounds like you're 'hiring' people without experience. Experience has a price and you may be better off just paying it off entirely with someone you trust and know will be there next year than to keep paying the down payment game after game. Just a thought.

Good luck out there

I hope you get your team together soon as well Razor, but come on man. FGs are not that hard to figure out. Why did you not look at the AI before the game to make sure the same crap was not happening?

But there was a very good point made above my post. The fact that your team kept attempting 60-70 yard FGs just shows that you were not moving the ball that much, you had several good drives that gave you the yards you picked up but you also had several that were just shut down, which brought up the FGs.

Oh and by the way, we threw an INT to you at our 18 yard line so we gave you good field position several times as well. We traded

I think Blue may be right man, sucks to see it happened 2 times in a row with 2 different OCs.

Good luck, I know once you get a solid OC your team will do well.
