This week in Lion is pretty much bottom half vs top half of the table, and with the current performances, the bottom half teams look to have a tough day. Elephant on the other hand is full of awesome games again this week, with #1 playing #4, and #2 playing #3 just to mention 2 of them.
Again a little strained for time, but doing my best to cover as many games as possible.
Enjoy
Lion:
Jupiter Snipers at Ethiopian Starvin' Marvins
Ethiopia has done well so far, altho their schedule has been on the lighter side. Their only loss was by a single point, and they currently hold the #3 spot. They get a stat padder here before they go into 3 tough weeks against the Beavers, Katanga and Seychelles.
Lolresult
Tijuana Thundercats at Mozambique Starvin Marvins
Mozambique are right behind their fellow Marvins, and currently hold the #4 spot, also with a 4-1 record. Like Ethiopia, their only loss was a close one, by 3 pts, and they are still the perhaps biggest favorite for the league, altho both Seychelles in Lion and several Elephant teams have shown to be even stronger than expected. They are hitting a softer part of the schedule the coming 3 weeks starting with Tijuana, who shouldn't have much of a chance even if the Marvins' cheerleaders took to the field.
Big win for Mozambique
Gabon Forest Dragons at South African Bulls
Gabon are a bit hard to get wise on, but not much thinking required to see who will win here.
255-0 anyone?
Sun City Undertakers at Sahara ShadowChasers
Sahara had a rather big loss to Seychelles last week, but get a good chance to get another win here, as they face the weak Sun City. 2 Early losses have put Sahara in #6 spot, but they have had a tough opening schedule, and are looking up the table rather than down.
Big Win for Sahara
Ivory Coast Diamond Hunters at Fort Wayne Generals
Both these teams are 2-3, and could really use a win to keep up with the top half teams. Ivory Coast have shown really good play, but haven't been able to score enough. Fort Wayne have been more up and down, with good performances in some games, while others have looked more concerning. Could be this tie breaker that decides who gets the #7 or #8 spot, which looks like a good bet for a final placement gfor either of these teams. A lot on the line, and should be a tough fought game.
Ivory Coast slight favorites
Zimbabwe Beavers at Beltway Bandits
Beltway is just really bad, and the Beavers are pretty good. Should be a rather one sided game here. Beavers welcome the win tho, as a 2-3 record after 5 rounds wasn't exactly part off the plan, even with a tough starting schedule.
Beavers!!!
Katanga Diamonds at Cape Verde HeadhuntersGAME OF THE WEEK
Should be a good game here, as 2 old rivals face off, and both teams really needs the win. Katanga has had a very tough opening schedule, and are 1-4 as a result. They showed against San Dimas and MSM that they can play really well, and they need to get back to that. They have the team to compete here, but the tactics need to be more effective. Cape Verde has fared slightly better, and are currently 2-3. They have looked stronger than Katanga so far, and all their losses, and 1 of their wins, have been very close games against tough opponents. A little tweaking and some morale, and this team can play with the best.

Elephant:
Kibwezi Choppaholix at Tunis AspsGAME OF THE WEEK#1
Tunis are one of the top favorites to the title atm, with solid wins against Richmond, Mogadishu and RMoG already. They play another very strong team, Kibwezi, who have also shown great strength so far. Last week saw a big loss against Mogadishu tho, and another loss this week would really set them back in their hunt for a top-4 spot. They can pass the Asps in the table with a win, due to the tie breaker, and last weeks loss will be forgotten. 2 great teams, 2 great coaching staffs, and a stadium packed with crazy African fans. Should be a blast
Asps favorites
Gambia Diamond Cutters at San Dimas SaintsGAME OF THE WEEK#2
Another huge game here, as 2 undefeated teams square of. Both teams have had wins against strong teams, and both are looking good so far. The Cutters have been slightly more impressive tho, and are slight favorites in this one. The winner here could be the last undefeated team left after this round, and alone in the lead of Elephant with an important tie breaker in the bag. Will be exciting to see what the coaches can come up with, and if the players can keep their cool in what promises to be an intense game.
Cutters slight favorites
Real Men of Genius at High Plains Drifters
RMoG suffered the 2nd biggest loss ever last week, as the Asps took a 14 point win. No time to rest tho, as this week features another strong opponent in the form of the Drifters. The Drifters have been playing really well, and have beat some tough teams in close games. They need to keep up in gear if they don't want RMoG to pass them in the table tho. Hard to call a favorite here, but the bookmakers seem to favor RMoG slightly.
RMoG slight favorites
Casablanca Sultans at Mozambique Thundercats
Sultans get a stat padding game against the perhaps weakest team in the league.
A royal beating for Zimbabwe
Cairo Cannibals at Mogadishu Malice
Both teams have performed somewhat below expectations, and both need this win badly. Mogadishu to keep up with the rest of the top teams and take full advantage of the top 4 playing each other, and Cairo to get back into the hunt completely, as a 2-4 record after 6 weeks would leave them in a tough position, as they still have many tough games left. Mogadishu could move up as far as #3 if everything goes their way this round, and that would put them right back in the hunt for #1. A lot on the line, and a game that could easily have been the game of the week. Last weeks impressive showing gives Mogadishu the favorite role, but everything can happen in this one.
Mogadishu favorites
Kinshasa Rumblers at Kilimanjaro Sno-Caps
Kilimanjaro gets to beat up on Kinshasa, another good candidate for weakest team here.
Kilimanjaro wins easily, 255+
Boston Dogs at Richmond Raiders
The Dogs have had some trouble making up for the big lvl difference between them and the top teams, and look to have another tough game against fellow promoter Richmond as well. Both teams are 2-3, but Richmond have looked stronger and have had a tougher schedule. The Dogs have lost to all decent teams they have met so far.
Richmond Big favorites
River Styx Jinx at African Arms Dealers
An important game, between 2 teams that could very well be fighting for the bottom play-off spots later on. AAD have been a bit up and down, while the Jinx have looked pretty stable, altho they have lost all their 5 games so far. Many was close tho, and all was against top opponents, so hard to count them out completely. If they loose here on the other hand, it looks like game over for River Styx.
