Just out of curiosity, does the actual standings of our teams come into effect? And what about margin of victory?

Margin of victory does not get taken into account, the one weak spot of the formulas here. It does take overall points, but that hurts some teas cause they win more on defense than offense. The records for the teams do count.

Basically, the whole system makes a big table, and based on current information generates what every teams record would be if they played all 31 of the other teams. It them ranks everyone based on that 31 game schedule. It has trouble with the cross-conference ratings because we only get one cross conference game so its hard to extrapolate info from that. So having them all ranked league wide is ok, but its more solid on the inter-conference level.

I have another table that takes margin of victories into consideration, but it doesnt use information like offense, defense and other stats, just scores.

I can post those as well if you want to give more of an idea on things.
