Acton has come out on top in the first 2 battles but only by the slimmest of margins. Acton won by 3 in the regular season 45-48 kicking a field goal as time expired. This was set up by an untimely INT as Nurples tried to get in position to score their own FG to get the win.
Acton won the conference championship 42-44, again kicking a field goal with 17 seconds left to take the lead. That FG was set up by the infamous WR screen, where one WR can block 2-3 players. Acton had no timeouts remaining so if that play is stopped does Acton win? We will never know.
