Week 5
Manila Pack (2-2) at Algeria Addiction (3-1)
Algeria use to be addicted to cigarettes, now they crumple up the Pack and “Just say no.” Addiction by 10.
Surabaya Poison Dart Frogs (4-0) at Hakone Heroes (4-0)
The first of two big matchups among undefeated Naga teams. These Frogs are looking more and more like a prince each day, but no kisses from the Heroes this week. Heroes by 10.
Cambodia Mountain Men (4-0) at Hell Valley Snow Monkeys (4-0)
Well, well, well, what do we have here? The Snow Monkeys shot down any Mountain Men hopes of a long playoff run last season. Rumor has that every Cambodian child received a Snow Monkey voodoo doll in their Christmas stocking. Mountain Men by 6.
Brutal Deluxe (1-3) at Ho Chi Minh Hookers (1-3)
Coming off their first win, the Hookers have a little bounce in their steps this week. Going to be a good one, but the Deluxe pull out just before the Hookers’ climax, costing them the game. Hookers by 1.
Tibet Psychonauts (2-2) at Manila Cyberballers (0-4)
Tibet gave the Addiction quite a battle last week, they won’t need to be near the top of their game to roll the Cyberballers. Psychonauts by 35.
New Jersey Beaver Hunters (3-1) at Manila Death Squad (0-4)
The Death Squad is better than 0-4, but the Beaver Hunters have no intention of being their first kill of the season. Beaver Hunters by 24.
Pingree Grove Pits (0-4) at Phuket Water Dragons (0-4)
Someone is going to get this first win!!! Sure hope I didn’t just jinx it and this one ends in a tie. Nobody should have to sit through a scoreless overtime period between two winless teams. Dragons by 3.
Sumatra Sting (4-0) at Seoul Men (0-4)
This one gets ugly early and often as the Men may have souls but they are patsies for a good old Sumatra sting. Sting by 35.
Malaysian Madness (4-0) at Bandar Seri Begawan Marauders (3-1)
Madness come off an impressive win over Palembang. The Marauders are playing well also. Nice little M vs. M battle. The M’s (Maruaders style) melt in the hand of the M’s (Madness style). Madness by 6.
Arctic Avalanche (2-2) at Georgetown United (3-1)
After a rough first game, the United have been, well, united. The Avalanche on the other hand, have lost two in a row. Make it three. United by 6.
Peking Stampede (0-4) at Hanoi Hot Karls (0-4)
See Pits vs. Water Dragons matchup in Naga. Hot Karls by 14.
The Manila Guerrillas (3-1) at Lea Lea Furniture (3-1)
The Guerrillas need a big bounce back win, so in the words of the immortal Arthur Herbert Fonzarelli, they “sit on it” this week. Guerrillas by 3.
Taipei Yonghe soybean milk (1-3) at Midway Maulers (1-3)
Big win for the Maulers last week over the Fire Horses. The milk even got their first win last week. I hope the Taipei boys’ don’t get spoiled with all that winning, cause it ain’t happening this week. Maulers by 7.
Garut Fire Horses (2-2) at Shanghai Cheetahs (4-0)
Win over the Guerrillas last week may anoint them as the team to beat in Naga. The Horses, well that’s like betting on a squirrel race. They could very well win this one, but if you bet on them, you are crazier than the Psychonauts. Cheetahs by 7.
Palembang Tigers (3-1) at Shanghai Shadow Dragons (2-2)
Dragons took care of the Drunk Monks last week but expect the Tigers to be hopping mad after their first loss of the season to, who else but the Madness. Tigers by 13.
Kailua Tigers (0-4) at Tibetan Drunk Monks (1-3)
No ifs, ands, or buts about it, the Monks either need to sober up or drink more. Give ‘em a bottle of Seagrams because Monks in withdrawals would be an even worse sight. Monks by 17.
Manila Pack (2-2) at Algeria Addiction (3-1)
