I have the following AEQs for my center and I am trying to decide on which to start upgrading:

+3 blocking, +1 First Step SA

and

+1 Absorb Pain SA

I know the 1st step equip is great because of the +3 blocking, but the absorb pain SA is the last SA on the Guard tree (2sp). I would think it would help a center quite a bit going up against those NTs with super high str.

Would love to hear your opinions on these two pieces.

+1 first step hands down. centers have the highest STR in GLB, meaning they are easily the most suitable to handle a super high str NT and shouldnt need absorb pain. first step however works more towards giving them the edge off of the snap, meaning they will not only be as strong/stronger then the NT but they'll also have the quickness advantage. DT's don't get first step unless by AEQ so I'd definitely see this as a good one. When you add in the +3 blocking the item you got is a must buy.

The only other SA's i see more valuable for a center is
1. Line General (no brainer)
2. Foundation (not because of the "he is harder to move" part, but because of the "harder to go around" part).

Thanks for the input - FWIW he already has a fully upgraded LG AEQ (he is a Vegas AEQ roller - wish all my players rolled as well as him)
