We were primed for the two year promotion plan. Sign the guys for two years in an expansion league then bring in the big boys years three.

It's just an absofuckinglutely retarded system to have teams go from L21 < to uncapped. Ab. So. Fucking. Lutely. Retarded.

Yeah, I almost signed the entire team from last season assuming we would be a in capped 21 league. Then getting a few players to be good with being traded so they could start elsewhere but only able to afford minor upgrades (didn't want to tank the financials for a few high level upgrades).

Solution: get well built players and be prepared for a season or 2 of growth. It levels out...IMO

Yes it does even out at some point. Stay loyal to the guys that got you there, take your beatings for a year or two, then poof you are competitive. The team I have my two CBs on was in a level 13 capped league last season(level 21 capped by the end of the season obviously), we won 1 playoff game, and we were promoted this year also. We haven't won a game yet, but we also didn't go out and sign a single high level player. Hopefully next year we will be a middle of the road team or better, but if nothing else at least we kept the team together.

My player is on a promoted BBB team and we are getting rocked regularly. It's gonna happen. There's no way you can keep any kind of coherency or chemistry if you rush to immediately try and catch up to teams that are 10 levels above you (especially with the established teams all filled with players that have a lot more VXP than your team's players). Pretend you're a slow build team and take your lumps for a season or two. Did you really think you were gonna go BBB > A > AA > AAA > PRO in consecutive seasons?

Thing is, we reloaded. Demoted our starters from last season to backups this season. Sprinkled in a shit ton of level 35+ guys. You can't say it's terrible gameplanning either because we went from 14-2 giving up 6.1 PPG to 0-2 and losing to teams that we outleveled/bar'd. It's just a chickenshit system.
