ALPHA
Tibetan Black Dragons 13 - 38 Jambi Juice
Black Dragons are 2-0 and on a roll, but their opponents have been the worst in the league. A lack of talent and depth on their roster means Jambi enjoy an easy victory over them today.
Singapore Scorpions 17 - 31 Singapore Buddhist
Battle of Singapore right here, but I think it will be the Buddhist team who will come out with the win. I figure this to be a close run game however, with the Scorpions chemistry coming good and keeping it quite close, but the strength of the Buddhist roster will come into play come the second half and power them to the victory
Surayaba Heroes 54 - 16 Shanghai Assassins
This game is just a clear case of one team being 4-5 levels above the other in terms of talent, and the other team finding it near impossible to overcome. The Heroes take it and improve to 3-0, with their defense shutting down any offense that the Assassins muster.
Samarinda Saints 21 - 45 Haiphong Red Dragons
Haiphong are my tip to be the dark horse team in Alpha. Their winning streak shows they know how to get it done. They gameplan very well as they don't have the level 40 players some teams have. Coupled with perfect chemistry, they are my team to watch right now in Alpha. Today Samarinda just do not have the ability in the secondary to slow down the Red Dragons passing game, and Haiphong win it in the air.
Taiwan Dragons 175 - 0 Chaing Mai Funny Talkers
Taiwan win
Beijing Black Dragons 114 - 0 Edenia Crimson Prophets
Black Dragons win
Jakarta Jesuits 27 - 41 Bangkok Dragons
Close game right here, both teams haven't had the best of starts, but I say that Bangkok are the victors in this game. I think they will prove to be just too strong for Jakarta, especially on defense, where Jakarta struggle to overcome a dominant defensive line.
Vietnam Kongs 102 - 0 Cagayan Rattlers
Vietnam win
ZETA
Arrowhead Fanatics 35 - 38 Lumpinee Stadium Maine-iacs
I remember back in season 4 when Arrowhead tore the league up and beat us pretty easily, and we're out for revenge, a Maine-iac never forgets! I think Arrowhead are the Haiphong of the Zeta conference, don't necessarily have the highest levelled players but they sure know how to gameplan to compete with the best. Hopefully that doesn't happen today, but i'm going to say we get the revenge we want and win a very close match-up.
Kuala Lumpur Pit Vipers 45 - 38 Ottawa Beavers
Tough one to predict here, Ottawa knows what Kuala Lumpur is all about, but stopping their passing game is a whole different business. I'm not sure whether Ottawa have the talent in their secondary to cope with the great receivers the Pit Vipers have, especially Matthew Forte who is tearing the league up this year. I'll say Kuala Lumpur extend to 3-0 and take a close win
East Island Terror 10 - 67 Bangkok Bangers
I have a feeling East Island will be one of those teams that may struggle in the lower half of the conference ladder this year. A team that won't be able to cope against the elite teams, and struggle in games against teams around them. Bangkok have no trouble today in beating the Terror and racking up another win
Skaro Daleks 28 - 21 Singapore Canes
I'm struggling to pick a winner in this game. I think it will be gameplans and not the talent of the roster which determines the winner here. Skara have started off very well, with a great win over Laos last game out. I'm leaning towards them beating Singapore slightly, although I don't know why.
Guam Carabao 44 - 35 Holiday In Cambodia
Another good game right here, but I am going to say it is Guam who take the victory today. Cambodia have a talented roster, but have got off to a very poor start in their season, perhaps it's poor chemistry or bad gameplanning, who knows, but I don't think they will be strong enough to contain Carabao here today.
Yokohoma Samurai Warriors 17 - 48 Johor Bahru Beach Bums
They have horrible chemistry, and it is clear playing them early is the way forward, but I still don't think Yokohama will be able to beat the Beach Bums. Yokohama have a high level QB, but really don't have the roster to compete with the majority of the teams in Zeta. Johor take it.
Phuket “Happy Endings” 28 - 34 Laos Warmachine
Very good game in prospect here, Laos have lost two extremely close games over teams they will surely feel they should have beaten. Phuket come into town today and it should be a great game. I don't think Laos are going to go 0-3 though, I think they will take a close game and get the victory over Phuket
