(San Juan) - The San Juan Cabelleros ended their two game skid today against the Machu Picchu Bulldogs. Their 35-7 route of their conference rival Bulldogs snapped a two game losing streak and increased their overall standing in the South American Alpha Conference.

The Cabelleros scored at least a touchdown in every quarter of the game today and put up two in the second quarter.

Cabelleros quarterback John Cash had a good outing today after snapping two disappointing performances in his first two starts of the season after taking over for incumbent starter Jonathan McNutt who was recently traded to another team for an undisclosed amount of cash. The Cabs quarterback went 23-36 for 219 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions. After the game we caught up with the Cabs quarterback who had the following to say, "I'm just real glad that I was able to get out their today and have a good game. I felt as though I'd let my team down these past few weeks when I was handed the starting job. Granted we played the top two teams in the division, but I definitely want to see them again in the playoffs. The offense is clicking now and every team should fear the Cabs when we play."

Rock McGurk had 2 rushes for 13 yards and one hell of a broken tackle.

Rush Magruder again eclipsed the 100-yard mark on his way to 114 yards and two touchdowns on 29 plays from scrimmage. We tried to catch up with the top flight halfback, but he was unavailable for comment.

The Cabelleros also had four receivers with multi-catch games. Jaburgular Gafelony had the most impressive outing with 126 yards on 10 plays and a touchdown.

This has come as a good win for the Cabelleros as they look to increase their standing in the conference and make a serious push at the playoffs.
