So with Ultra setting the bar high I thought I'd bring it down a level:
Crusaders at the Devils:
A cupcake win from the men in deep red is quickly followed by one of the toughest games on the calender, if they can keep out of the Dublin bars then this will be a tight one. Dublin also had an easy win against slightly tougher opposition and their roster is stacked full of talent and depth. I take the Devils in a squeaker 21-18
Dragons vs CPU Boghoppers
No contest, Dragons go 2-0 by a lot
Goons vs Dayton
Both teams coming off good wins in the 1st week and Lisbon pounding the nomark Zeta team of inactives so this will be a real test against a very good team who by their own admission did better than they thought last season by finishing 4th. Ultra's team is strong with good depth but can blow up in the face of a good game plan but equally can demolish teams with a bad game plan. Ultra's mob do batter the goons 41-6
Wolfpack vs Trombones
The Wolfpack often flatter to deceive, good talent and a habit of winning games with good plans, but also a bad habit of losing badly. They surrender yards like the saints and score like the well...saints. If they can get the aerial stuff going they will put big numbers up but if not look for an easy win for the Trombones As for the Trombones they have a few inactives that may weaken their plans but suffered a tough loss against the Hippo's who are strongly fancied in the other conference. The Wolves to tame the brass section 32-10
BOR vs Smokers
Game of the week for me. The smokers are building on a very strong 1st season last season which ended prematurely but they have a strong team even though they give up more yards than the Wolfpack! They can score though and they have some strong planning in their squad of GM's. The BOR have on of the strongest squads I have seen and they put up a very good win in week 1 against a team of slow builders not quite ready this season. They look good for the win in this. Smokers put out: BOR 37-30
Monkeys vs Destroyers
A strong season from the destroyers last season ended quickly for them in the play off's. The are as equally frustrating as brilliant but always seem to find a way to lose the easy games. The monkeys are struggling with inactive players, a lack of depth and the quality of competition. Monkey's to get spanked 57-7
Gloutons vs Avengers
A trip to Paris for the Cockneys and one of the oldest rivalries in WE AA#2. The Gloutons still a have a decent squad, but that's all they are ever is decent. The secondary is decimated with inactives and a loss in the 1st game didn't help. However the Avengers are equally light in passing attack options and rumours has it the 1st 2 fans to buy tickets get WR jobs! Having said that It's the Superheroes to put the Gloutons on a diet 21-10
Raiders vs Avalanche
After a severe slapping the Raiders look to bounce back against a team lacking in strength and depth. Good luck to the snowmen this season they are going to need it. Blue boys by 60-3
