Week 1 it looks as if the WEA7 Conferences go head to head, to see which conference will have bragging rights until the playoffs start. I will be posting my predictions for each game here shortly, feel free to post yours. Which conference will reign supreme? Alpha or Zeta?

Ok so here I go with my predictions for week 1. Good luck to all teams this week and may the better conference prevail!
Belfast Brawlers at Dublin Pubcrawlers - Looks like the Brawlers are a little overmatched in every facet of this matchup. The Brawlers will have to rely on a solid gameplan on both sides of the ball to escape Dublin with a win.
My Prediction - Dublin 57-16 over the Brawlers
Leeds Cougars at Reading Football Club - The Cougars will need to be highly effective through the air in order to put points up against Readings stout defense. The Cougars will definately have their hands full on both sides of the ball this week.
My Prediction - RFC 42-9 over the Cougars
German All Stars at Barcelona Conquistadors - The Conquistador backups outlevel the All Stars starters in this matchup. It looks like the All Stars are in for a long day. This one shouldnt even be close.
My Prediction - Barcelona 113-3 over the All Stars
Vatra Dornei Wraiths at Dresden Bombers - 2 solid teams square off in what could be a slugfest, but I think the Bombers definately have the upperhand in this matchup and should cruise to a week 1 victory.
My Prediction - Dresden - 56-23 over the Wraiths
Konoha Hokages at Clydesdale Colts - Very good matchup between to very solid teams. Definately one of the better games to watch. This game will be won in the trenches. Both teams are talented on both sides of the ball and I expect this one to be closer than people think.
My Prediction - Clydesdale 34-27 over the Hokages
Newcastle Nightmare at San Diego Panthers - The Nightmare look to be in rebuilding mode, so this one wont even be close. San Diego should put this one away in the 1st half.
My Prediction - San Diego 197 - 3 over the Nightmare
Oklahoma Yard Dawgs at Berlin Slaughterhouse - The Dawgs seem to have the advantage talent wise coming into this game. It could be close in the 1st half but I expect to see the Dawgs take over in the 2nd half to secure a victory.
My Prediction - Oklahoma 53-31 over the Slaughterhouse
Oklahoma (U.S.A.) Outlaws at Malmö Dawgs - The game of the week as far as Im concerned. Malmö has a slight edge as far as the passing game is concerned, but I expect to see both teams try and grind it out and eat up the clock. Whoever has the ball last wins this one.
My Prediction - Malmö 31-28 in OT over the Outlaws
Ithaca Space Monkeys at Hamburg Parrots - 2 talented teams square off in this one, Ithaca one of the top teams in the Alpha Conference and the Parrots improving off their season 6 performances. Ithica I think is a bit much for the up and coming Parrots to handle yet. I think the Monkees take this one.
My Prediction - Ithaca 42-13 over the Parrots
Coventry Thunder at OFF Topic - Not much of a game here as the Thunder should have no problem handing OFF Topic their 1st loss of the season.
My Prediction - Coventry 134-6 over the Topic
Parma Panthers at Basin City Blues - Two of the top teams in each conference collide in week 1. I look for this one to be close in the 1st half, but I see the Panthers singing the Blues when it's all said and done. Definately one of the better matchups this week.
My Prediction - Basin City 49-27 over the Panthers
Stockholm Samurai's at Belgrade Bulldogs - Another solid week 1 matchup. The Bulldogs however I think overmatch the Samurai's when it comes to the basics, especially in the trenches. Even though they say "on any given day", unfortunately for the Samurai's it wont be today.
My Prediction - Belgrade 54-27 over the Samurai's
Windsor Flying Turkeys at Sealand Barons - This could turn out to be one of the better games this week. Both teams will matchup well and I look for this game to be a shootout offensively. Special Teams and a solid gameplan could be the difference in this game.
My Prediction - Windsor 42-38 over the Barons
Tauber Black Cats at Spaniard Warriors - The Warriors touted as one of the top teams in the league, should have a pretty easy day offensively and defensively. I dont expect this one to even be close.
My Prediction - Warriors 255-9 over the Black Cats
London CFLers at Buckfort Jetts - Solid matchup and could prove to be one of the best games this week. Both teams are pretty evenly matched as far as talent goes. Lets see which coordinators did their homework. This one comes down to the wire.
My Prediction - Buckfort 31-27 over the CFLers
Frankfurt Mountain Lions at Florence Flying Dutchmen - Another good matchup between to good teams. However, I think the Dutchmen have just a more talented squad and should leave with a victory in this one. Its going to take a solid gameplan and a few breaks for Frankfurt to pull off the upset.
My Prediction - Florence 47-24 over the Mountain Lions
