I will try to do these every week. I might have to break them up into parts each week. We'll see.
1. North Georgia Bulldogs-
This is really a toughie between Bulldogs and the Saints, but I picked Bulldogs because I didn't want people to think that I'm selfish because I GM Siena, and because they have better depth all around, giving them the slight edge over Siena.
2. Siena Saints-
Like I said, only reason they are second is because of lack of depth for now
. Both of these teams get promoted easy, but luckily we won't have to scuffle for bragging rights long because we'll get a firt hand look at these two teams in week 2, but ultimate bragging rights will be given to the team that wins in the comference finals, because I don't see any team threatening these two powerhouses.
3. Palermo Predators-
Biloxi Voodoo wins in a H2H rating matchup, but that awfully low chemistry will hurt the VooDoo down the road, I know this from personal experience. However, the PRedators have a tendency of running the ball way too much. If they don't change their offensive ways, teams may catch on and kick this team out of a home playoff game with Voodoo and Crush knocking on the door.
4. Biloxi Voodoo-
Again a tough call between Voodoo and Crush, but Crush's weakness is pass defense, and any team with a decent passing attack can capitilize through the air when facing them. Voodoo are lucky because they will be given time to heal up chemistry before they face real compeitition, vs. Saints, Crush, Federals, and Predators. They're going to have to pull out wins in atleast 2 of those games to remain top 4 worthy. I think after today, they will be done with trades, but if aren't, the train from Philly to Dallas isn't too late to catch.
5. Camelot Crush-
After last season, I thought they might become a real threat this season, but something happened, and they didn't improve. They will be tested in the middle of the season vs. Voodoo and Predators, they win either of those games, and they will be moved up to 4. Until then, they're numero cinco in my book.
6. D-Town Bushwalkers
Again another team that will have to defend their rank in the middle of the season. They're competition for the No. 6 spot is Stockholm. If they beat them, they get this spot easily. Good progress after being a gutted team a couple of season a go!
7. North Yorkshire Federals
I forgot them yesterday, my bad. Even though the quality of top teams has worsened in this conference, Federals somehow managed to drop from their 5th place finish last year according to team ratings. I believe the reason for this drop is related to the loss of Evan Christensen. I'll put them here for now, but if they run the 3-4 successfully, which isn't that hard to do, D-Town and Camelot, watch out!
8. Stockholm Thunder Strikers
I think they get the 8th spot, but that can change negatively if teams can take advantage of their LB and CB woes. So QB7, beware!
Honorable mention- Little China Jack Burtons
Honestly, no one other teams in Zeta deserve a playoff spot because they haven't improved over the offseason or became a threat to even the lowest playoff seeds. But I'm giving Honorable mention/9th to Little China over United because their defense is just that much better. But maybe a team like the Rhineland Razors can outperform my expectations for them and lurk around a playoff spot, possibly take it? We'll have to see...
Teams that might surprise and get into the playoff 8:
Rhineland Razors
Teams that can slip down significantly:
Biloxi Voodoo
Stockhold Thunder Strikers
I will only post the playoff 8 and then some honorable mentions each GLB week. Comments, reasonable arguments for change of rank, and civilized criticizism is welcome!
