Tomorrow (well actually tonight with time zones and all) is Hogmanay. The thing my country does better than any other (well that and inventing usefull shit like the television, steam power, telelphones and penicillin) and you all rip off.

This thread is basically for me to laugh at you all as you have your crappy celebrations (im looking at you Time Square) that try so hard to be Scottish and fail as hard as Taha. For those visiting Scotland - welcome. Prepare to be shocked by the amount of alcohol you see consumed over the next 24 hours and the shade of blue goes when we insist on wearing a kilt when the temperature is below zero. To the rest of you have fun singing Auld Langs Syne when you dont even know what the fuck it means.

Seriously though for those of you who dont fail (ie the originals) have a good new year and Ill see you in a few days or whenever the parties finish whichever comes first. To the rest of you (ie those from after season five) make a new years resolution not to fail as much in 2009.

A card board box with a sheep and a viewing hole in it did not constitute the Scots inventing television.

Lighting your farts on fire did not constitute the Scots inventing steam engines.

Using two empty cans of beans(presumably left over from the pioneering work on your steam engine) with a string connecting them does not constitute the Scots inventing the telephone.

Getting pissed and being dared to eat moss off an old castle does not constitute the Scots inventing penicillin.

Frankly I think weve been rather tame with our insults as of late. We dont hijack threads - we make threads worth reading. Everyone in AA4 is listening for the simple fact that if you take Porch,MadCow,CA and myself out of here then the place would die.
