Wow, nice work! I am going to try this tool out over the next couple of weeks to see how it works out.

I wish I could help with that but I don't have any offensive linemen.

I'll be checking this out too.
The tricky thing of course is trying to decide out what realistic "goals" should be, and trying to figure out how many skill points and training points you'll acquire by day 35.

Any shaded cells can be edited to your likings. Lets say you want your QB be to be at 35 Throwing by Day 22. Just enter 35 into the Target field and 22 into the Target Day Field.
Also the Target Warning Tolerance(TWT) is kind of like a threshold. It will change the color of the numbers to red(warning) if you're under that tolerance. Ditto on the Target Day Warning Tolerance(TDWT).
Ex. So your QB's at 30 Throwing on Day 20, you have the TWT set to 2 and the TDWT to 2, it's going to warn you that you're behind.
Think of the TWDT as how far in advance you want to be warned.
You can pick whatever goals you want. I suggest finding someone with a build that's successful and entering in those numbers as your targets. Check the Guide to Creating New Players by tpaterniti for starters

I was talking about using those as a guide to understand how it works

so you put your stats in the column that refers to the day it is in GLB. then you set the skill at what you want it to be and at the end it tells you how many points it will take you?

The Meter(located next to the Target column) will show how many points you have to gain to reach the Target.

so like the other guy said, we need to figure out a realistic expectation for a season target. i mean the goal would be 100 for any vital skill in the long run im sure but that reasonable value to hit by the end of 40 days is the key.

Everyone's build's are different so that's something left for you guys to figure out where you want and expect to be. This isn't a planner, it's more like a journal to keep track of what categories you've been focusing on. I find sometimes that I look at the training options for my OL and go "ehhh Blocking for .15" or "ooooh Jumping for .43!" I'll train jumping!
If you find a build that you like and want to work towards it, this can help you see how far off you really are and which areas you should focus on to stay on track.
Or you can set up short term goals that you want to hit.
It's up to you guys how you use it.

I did this the other way around.
I have a spreadsheet that predicts what your level and stats should be at any given day in the season (you have to estimate game xp by hand using results other players have received for their given level). You have to enter your stats at the beginning and a three letter code for what you plan to train on any given day.
Currently, it is TE specific (because of the automatic boost given when leveling in primary and secondary skills), and if you use skill points, you have to add them directly to your initial stat numbers. I'm reworking the spreadsheet so the primary and secondary skills can be determined by the user.

nice work jetsfan. I am playing with it now, but it may be a little much for my free spirited players. I'll paste a link in the ultimate sticky for now. There is so much stickied stuff in here, and this really isnt a newb question.
