You want a real competition? Schedule the previous season's EEA league champs in a pre-PRO showdown. I'd gladly watch Belarus take on the Underprivileged Children ( http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=4333&team2=4209 )... and that would bring true league spirit into the mix. Of course, it wouldn't be an accurate depiction of the teams that won the various leagues, since there is the off-season with the additional recruiting, but it's as close as you could come.
The way it is now, this tourney is a waste of time, IMO... you get so many low leveled teams in there and it's almost a waste of Flex Points. I'd rather gameplan to get the #1 or #2 seed in our league playoffs than try to schmooze with the teams of another league.
For what it's worth, there are only five tourney contenders, in no particular order...

No offense Bucks.....we will try and represent EEA# VERY well....but if we don't win....no BIG deal. We would MUCH rather have the Alpha title this year and try and get in the Championship game against either the Bucks or Tribor Force......so this is just something of interest for us on the side. If we win.....GREAT!!!

I think the Tribor Force need some DEs and some CBs and a TE and FB before we can talk about Championship games.
I shall continue my search in earnest
- 5 competitive teams in Zeta: Triforce, Bucks, Wombats, Prowlers and Lions.
- Ironmen, Blitzers, Saratov and Uranuses have rosters but won't challenge.
- That leaves six '0-255 teams' and the Statchstachers (who are trading players, but dont know if they are quitting)
There's a division below us now, so this is the last season we'll get lumbered with this CPU/Slow-build/gutted crap.
