I only see two competitive games in the West with clear playoff implications:

I'll take the Horde over the Grave Diggers, but I'll be interested to see the margin of victory.

And after last week's performance, I'm going to take Mentone Beach Assault in their second straight upset win, this time over San Diego Demolition.

My only prediction is that the teams that outscore their opponents will win.

I'm looking forward to several of the games this week -- Beavers/Strikers, Demolition/Assault, Horde/Grave Diggers, Slashers/Gamers, River Rats/Red Celtics, Fury/Vanguards, and of course our own game, Lizard Lickers/Energy.

Ah, how could I have overlook Beavers/Strikers. I pick the Strikers to win in a close game.

Thank you for the motivation. I made sure all of our guys were made aware of some people calling us underdogs in this game. They left everything out on the field and continued to show the league what the top defense looks like. Mentone played a good game and we have great respect for their team. Good luck to them the rest of the way.

We have a huge game coming up against the Horde and we fully expect to be the underdog in that game as well. We are fine with that. Playing as the underdog has served us well thus far. It will be a hard fought game, but after our team's performance today I have no doubts that we can continue the win streak, as long as we continue to play with the heart we have displayed up to this point.

Well, that just goes to show how lousy I am at picking winners. Congratulations to the Demolition for staying undefeated.

Week 6 is huge in the Western Conference with the undefeated Demolition going up against the seemingly unstoppable Horde and the undefeated Fire taking on a top flight one-loss team in the Royals. If the Royals hadn't faced the Horde already this season there could be little doubt that all four of these teams would remain undefeated.

We had a tough game today against the Grave Diggers, but we were able to pull out a win. Our D is just Tuff! Good game Grave Diggers.
