Why top 5? Not a challenge, but are they doing the same as last season?

You think? Hmmm, here are my calcs:

I think Bort said he will run the promo/relegation script first and next day the CPU drop down to bottom script. (all Zeta conference based)

Pro
15- CPU
16 -CPU
These 2 get relegated to AAA (assume it would be 1 to AAA#1 and 1 to AAA#2)

AAA#1
15- CPU
16- Not CPU
These two get relegated to AA

AA#2
15- CPU
16- Not CPU
These teams get relegated to A

A#3/A#4
1-BDM
2-Arsenal
Get promoted to fill two spots from AA relegations.

Then CPU drop script get's run next night.

Pro
1 CPU team gets dropped to bottom allowing 1 more AAA team up (but is it from AAA#1 or AAA#2?)

AAA
2 CPU + 1 relegated CPU teams get dropped down to bottom leaving room for 4 more AA teams to move up (if team taking CPU place in Pro is from AAA#1, 3 if it's from AAA#2 instead).

AA
1 CPU + 1 relegated CPU + 4 (maybe 3 depending on above) teams moved up because of AAA drops teams get dropped down to bottom leaving room for 6 (5) more A teams.

Those additional 6 (5) AA promoted teams should be the league conference losers (SOBB and Dragons) plus a mix of 4(3) from A#3/A#4, no?

This all assumes that Alpha/Zeta teams stay in same conferences during all this. So, I don't see that many teams getting promoted up. Just not enough room is there?

Am I just way off base??? That's how I understand the system at least. Maybe it's too early and my hangover is affecting me.

high amount of cpu teams means that the cpus are getting purged to the lowest level, bort alredy posted on the front page how he will determine certin relegation and promotion... but all CPUs are headed to the lowest levels, so a lot of teams are getting bumped up.

EE Pro = 7 CPU teams -- 7/2 = 3.5/2 = 1.75 = .875
EE AAA1 = 6 CPU teams -- 6/2 = 3/2 = 1.5
EE AA2 = 2 CPU teams -- 2/2 = 1

2 teams will move up, then about 3.375 CPU teams will be moved into this league.

this means that 5.375 teams will move up, in other words 5, but there is a possibility of 6 moving up if we get the lucky roll.

but, there is also a slim possibility of only 4 moving up. it is rather slim though, and usually this formula provides best results.

there ya go.

Guess my problem was that I was thinking Alpha conf. get's promoted to Alpha and Zeta to Zeta and it's not a mix. Guess we'll all find out soon enough.

even though the top teams are guaranteed to move to their same conference, all other teams from 3 down are just placed wherever they fit.

OK I am from the EE PRO. what i knwo is 10 teams from the PROS are leaving. 7 CPUs and two about to become CPU teams. that makes 9 CPU teams. then you have the 4 after that that will move donw due to record or request. so you are looking at the head of the class half of them leaving. so the ripple effect coming down to our league should look to be 6. Maybe 7, but I would say right now for sure, the reason is, well AA is losing alot of guys to fill the PRO, and thus causing the AA to lose alot fo tema,s and so on and then the lower leagues get the trashed CPU teams, so I woudl say 6. maybe 7. How the tie breakers go, you guys would know more then I would. this is just my take

the league feels the effects of one team moving up added from 8 teams dropping out of pro. because of the split it is that harsh.

if 2 teams go CPU in AA we get 1 more moved up

if 4 teams go CPU in AAA we get 1 more moved up

if 8 teams go CPU in Pro we get 1 more moved up.

It's viscious, but those 2 extra teams only gives us a slight bit more of a chance of one more team (6) moving up... the thing that will rock us more is the teams going CPU in AA and AAA to a lesser extent.

I will re-crunch the numbers sometime today and figure out if we stay at 5 with a chance for 6, but 7 is out of the question just from pro teams.

Funfact: if all pro teams went CPU, we would see a total of 4 more teams move up, so it take a whole quarter MORE of Pro to drop out to guarantee us getting a bump in numbers.
