It pains us all so very much to leave you guys behind. You were by far even easier opponants than the BBB#4. We hope and pray that the teams with genuine real skills or at least half a brain are waiting for us in the league to come. To know that such teams with these attributes will be coming with us (Island, Tulsa, Pittsburgh) is a blessing.

We wish all of you the best of luck and we hope that teams such as Boston and Madden who know how to dish it or ignore it will follow us next season.

I foolishly linked a part of your message where you said that it hurts "to leave you guys behind" to maybe not being a tease and actually picking up and leaving, or rather, going away. Now, true, that does not necessarily entail an individual saying goodbye, but a message of the sort that started this post does indicate a sort of "farewell" or "send off" or a "famous last words" if you prefer, all indicators of our fair language that you will be leaving.

In summation, correct; you did not say "good bye" verbatim, but an equal message was offered.
