I'm starting this so owners and players can vote for their defensive MVP. I will make a list of nominations as people vote.

Ouchie That Hurt 1
Stone "Sack Master" Wall 1

My nomination is Ouchie That Hurt. He only missed 3 tackles all season and made 118. He also is second in pass deflections of players that aren't defensive backs and has 2 interceptions and 2 defensive touchdowns, as well as 5 forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. This guy isn't just well rounded as he is in the top 5 for linebackers in most categories and was the cornerstone in a defense that only spend 1335 plays on the field which is the 12th least in the league.

Stone "Sack Master" Wall

No one is getting bigger plays at more important times. The leader of the league's top-rated defense, he is first in sacks, first in sack yards and eighth in hurries.

He nearly single-handily shut down the third-seeded Malta Knights, who had the hottest passing game in the league at the time Wall took them apart in the playoff's second round. He was named game MVP for his three sacks and 10 tackles, four of which were for losses, and all came at key times for Dresden.

On the opening drive of the game, Wall registered a monster sack and three tackles for losses. He ended that first drive when he tackled the Knights' ball carrier in the backfield on a 4th down, setting the stage for the rest of the game.

So far in the playoffs, he is third in tackles and second in sacks (only behind by one to his LB who ran free when Belfast threw everyone they had at Wall in the first-round).

If I could pick one player in this league to build a defense around, Stone "Sack Master" Wall would be my pick.

I hear the name Stone "Sack Master" Wall all the time. All I know is .... he apparently makes big plays and leads the entire Dresden Defense.

Is this over the entire season including playoffs? or just the regular season?

Good question. The NFL names their MVPs in early Janurary, just after the regular season ends. But we are already a lot later than that in the process here. I say we include the regular season and conference playoffs only. What does everyone else think?
