All,

I'll be coordinating the pro-bowl vote this year, but only if I get at least a 50% response from the teams in the league. When it's time to vote, there will be a list of nominated players to choose from. The list will provide relevant stats and commentary so that you wont need to do any research to vote! It will be the responsibility of each team to nominate their own players and provide the stats for the player to support their case. Here's the deal:

NOMINATING PLAYERS:
--Each team will nominate 10 players max that they think are worthy of being on the official probowl ballot.
--4 offensive players, 4 defensive players, 1 Special Teams Player, and 1 player from another team in your conference. (The 1 extra player from another team will be in a seperate vote for league MVP)
--Nominations must specify which side the player plays on when appropriate. (LG or RG? NT or DT? LT or RT, etc)
--With the nominations, the team will provide all supporting stats and commentary for why their player deserves to be selected. Voters wont be doing any research, so provide everything that's relevant.
--The supporting stats and commentary for each player is limited to the equivalent of 100 words. I'll trim yours if it ends up being too long.
--The supporting stats and commentary can include anything. Stats, links, or statements such as excellent forum activity. You can even use this space to point out faults in the stats of other players that you think you'll be facing.

Example Nomination:
Sacker Backer, ROLB (KC Chiefs). Leads league with 987 sacks, 1478 tackles. Leader of the #1 defense in the West. Never missed a tackle. Once had a forced fumble and an INT on the same play, and ran both back for TDs. Everyone else sucks.

THE VOTE:
--Once I have collected all nominations, I will compile a finalized list of all nominated player sorted by position and post it here in the forums. (longest post ever?!)
--Each team has one vote for each position in their league. I dont care who casts it. It can Be Owner, GM, or the water boy.
--please send votes by PM only! I am happy to share all votes after the thing is done, but I don't want votes influenced by votes posted earlier by other teams.
--We are going to have a 1st string only this season.

POSITIONS.
Starting Offense: 1 QB, 1 HB, 1 FB, 1 TE, 2 WR, LT, LG, C, RG, RT
Starting Defense: 1 NT, 1 DT, 1 LDE, 1 RDE, 1 LOLB, 1 MLB, 1 ROLB, 2 CB, 1 FS, 1 SS
Starting Special Teams: 1 K, 1 P, 1 return man.

Dec 18 (Day 38) - Last day to submit player nominations.

The list above is up to date, so 3 of 32 responded...

Looks like no one was interested in it this season.

Sorry guys. All my efforts are currently going toward game planning for our day 40 game. I'll see if I can get anyone on the team to put something together

Like I said last year, when more than half the games are against competive teams then I will participate. The stats (including some of my players) are just too rediculious to have a pro bowl.

The West had 11 teams with 7 or more wins.
The East had 9 teams with 7 or more wins.

7-9 is a competitive team.
9 is more than 50% of 16.

Get your probowl nominations ready.

The 7 wins teams only had 7 wins because 6 teams sucked more.

Oh really? The NFL had the same number of 7 win teams last year, and the same number of shit teams.

Western Conference vs The NFL's NFC in 2007:
West___AFC
16-0___16-0
15-1___13-3
14-2___11-5
13-3___11-5
10-6___11-5
10-6___10-6
9-7____10-6
9-7____10-6
8-8____8-8
8-8____7-9
7-9____7-9
3-13___5-11
3-13___4-12
2-14___4-12
2-14___4-12
1-15___1-15

Let me say that I obviously understand your point. It's ridiculous to vote for playoffs based on stats generated in a 384-0 blowout win. I just think the probowl is worth doing, because we're all playing in the same league.

Yeah if everyone gets to play that horrible team, why does it matter?
