So, I've been on intense all this season and most of last (but have used a few temp boosts), and I'm wondering, about how many BTs do you all like to stock up on before hunting for AEQ? 16, 24?

It might be worth buying the first piece of eq. that comes along and storing the tokens there before the end of the season.

As for equipment - at higher levels the pieces get better so if you are still developing your player it is better to wait to lvl 30 or so.

I've got 24+ stocked up in some players who I simply haven't bothered to go shopping with. I think 16 is a good target because it gets either a +6/7/9% or a +2 SA, in addition to 2SP. IMO that makes it a good tradeoff to a +5 regular EQ.

I have banks...I'm just starting to think about switching off from intense to training every day for a while.

It might be worth waiting for next season to see if the superstar equipment pieces become available then. That's what I'm doing.

Yeah, but you get all your tokens back when you sell AEQ. So a common solution is to buy something cheap (like + 3% hold block) and upgrade it with all your tokens. Then, next season, you have 16 tokens sitting in it, find something good, sell the old one, upgrade the new.

So in reality for the ultimate piece of equipment you find 32 BT is what you need to make it uber.

Ideally your piece that you will want to keep long term will have

+3 Attribute
+1 SA

the attribute should be one that you would have put points in for regular equipment.

Upgrade that piece with 32 BT and you have:

+7 Attribute
+3 SA

I personally think that getting a piece that adds +3 to a good SA for your player is worth more than a +3 SA that is outside your build. If you think about it you can have a 6 in shed block naturally and have a custom+AE and have 10 shed block. That saves you quite a bit of SP if you wanted to get to 10 shed block anyway.

Id rather have 10 shed block than 7 shed block and 3 blitz for my DE

48 BT makes it +9 Attribute, +4 SA. Beyond that the finances get tricky.

I've actually had better luck finding good equipment for my lower level players than the higher ones. It seems that "level appropriate" only means that there is a cap on how good the equipment is and there is no minimum cap. Meaning that my level 40 guard encountered much more equipment for a +1 skill than say +2 skill + something else.

There is much more variety in what high level players will find than lower ones which makes shopping much more random and frustrating. I suggest that you start shopping for decent piece at level 16 and do occasional shopping to get better things. It makes it much less frustrating IMO. The best shopping so far has been around levels 23/24 by far.

So can you carry over as many Shopping tokens as you want or is there a limit on that too? I accidentally stockpiled some on one of my guys.

No limit on shopping tokens.
