That get this started early:

1. Loch Ness Monsters vs 8. Amsterdam Smokers
The Monsters have rolled through the regular season 16-0, the Smokers got here by fighting back from 0-5 by winning 9 of the last 11 but that included a lose to the Monsters in Game 11. That meeting seen the Smokers only rush for 6 whole yards overall and was sacked 4 times. If the O-line hasn't been shored up, I expect more of the same. The Monsters lead the league in scoring by over 100 points so they are hard to stop and the Smokers will have their work cut out for them and need to force turnovers to have any kind of shot of winning at all.

4. Dayton <-FnA-> vs 5. Dublin Boghoppers
In this match-up it the battle of old WEA#4 rivals. The first game this season seen both offenses put up almost 500 yards each, but 2 turnovers by the Boghoppers cost them 14 on the board. Will the result be the same? I doubt it ends in a score of 52-26 like last time, it should be a little closer game as both teams have sharpened their tactics and personnel. The Boghoppers are still operating with just 2 real G's and it shows having given up 33 sacks however they have one of the best HB combos in the league and will give Dayton's D all it can handle slowing them down.

2. Berlin Storm vs 7. Foy Destroyers
The Storm are rolling and could be very well be the best time in the league as far as playing as of last. How Bill Jack is running this team all by himself (I presume) and having the success he's having is amazing. The Destroyers almost knocked off the Boghoppers in week 16 but other than that only 2 of their 9 wins cam against playoff teams. The last match-up between the two wasn't even close on the scoreboard and I hope this is a good game but I feel Berlin will walk by them again.

3. Cardiff Dragons vs 6. London Avengers
London went from a sure home game to the 6th seed in one game and look to be off their game a bit as turnovers took over the Raiders game to cause a lose. The Dragons have the #1 passing team by almost 200 yards and threw for over 300 yards against the Avengers last time, I suspect more of the same here but the Avengers also own the #1 passing defense and only gave up 12 TD's through the air. Could be a shootout if things get ugly early.

I personally don't see any upsets except maybe the #4 vs #5 match up but that is usually always the best game in the playoffs. I wouldn't be surprised if there is one other upset outside of the 4 vs 5 game.

I can tell you that London beat us down badly in our first matchup and we are taking them very seriously. Good luck to everyone. Thanks for the write up Ultra.

We take the Cardiff game very seriously, have no idea what went on with the Raiders but have to get back on it with the Dragons. Can't let the leek eaters beat us.

Oh and good write up Ultra

GL to all except the Bog, and to them, one point less than us.

gg London - it was a good strategy to throw the Vienna game so you'd draw us in the first round.

it was a much better matchup than our first game against you, that's for sure. Hopefully we'll get you back next season
