I am making an OT and want him to be a LT (pass blocker), I want to get a piece of AE that has Protector on it, what level should I start looking for AE with +SA's on it? I have a current crap piece of SA from being lvl 8 (just to hang on to Bonus tokens), but when to SA's start to show up on AE?

There are pieces of AE for lvl 1 players with special ability boosts (though I'm pretty sure you can only get the first SA from either tree).
My advice is buy yourself a piece of AE, keep upgrading it, and later try to get another AE with protector. Then you can sell your old one, get all of your bonus tokens back, and upgrade the new one a bunch of times.
