We actually managed a win in that slug-fest vs. the Bucks. GG Bucks!

Question on standings though. Thought the first tie-break was head-to-head match-ups, so wondering why the Bucks are listed above Lions since they lost. Anyone know how that works? Just curious as it seems kind of odd.

Yeah, TTTT, we would love to get out of BDMs bracket.

Oops! Edited it since the Bucks beat Triforce not lost. I must have been thinking about the Elk as I typed that. Doh!

nice win.. You've effectively muddled the play off seedings.. (which, I believe was your intent?)

Thanks. We just wanted to try and get a win, but I did think it would move us up out of the #5 seed if we actually won.

Don't worry, If the Triforce losses to the Freedom you'll move you to 4th and the Triforce will drop to 7th (since the Wombats have the tie-breaker on them).

I am glad we aren't involved in any of that craziness, I would be sweating bullets right about now.

I think BDM should switch all their players from Offense to Defense and Vice versa Just to give the scotch Cocks a chance at not losing 255-0

GG Lions. It sucked actually, but gg anyway. We couldnt catch a break in this game to save our life, but oh well.

The first tiebreak is games between the tied teams, i.e. if 4 teams are tied it is games between those four teams.

Either that or where would we put the teams, as

1. The lions lost to the triforce

2. The triforce lost to the bucks

3. the bucks lost to the lions

not even including the fighting elk and the freedom, you couldnt arrange those three teams by head to head only.

So it is arranged by record between all the tied teams

it took me a while to get this, but i do now

You kidding? Have your seen our lolffense? We would probably win by 400 if they let the D get in there and clean up that mess.

Well okay then. thanks for that clarification.

So, here is how it stands right now with those 5 teams that are tied at 11-4

Elk
3-1
Bucks
2-2
Triforce
2-1
Lions
2-2
Freedom
0-3

Triforce and Freedom play in the last week.

If the Freedom Beats Triforce (and no major weird upsets happen for the Elk, Bucks and lions) than there will be 4 teams tied for 12-4 and it would be seeded as follows: (based on the above information)
Elk, Bucks, Lions, Freedom.

Now, if the Triforce Beat Freedom, than it will be a little stranger. what is the Third tie breaker? Anyone know? Because then it would look like

Elk Triforce
3-1 3-1
Bucks
2-2
Lions
2-2

And i'm not sure what the third tie-breaker is... Would that be head to head? Or something else? If it's head to head Triforce would own the tiebreaker....

I'm guessing we'll look to the BCS computers in a three-way tie and see who rates better.

That game today was ridiculous can not believe we got upset like that. Will be interesting to see how it will all play out now.

http://www.glbwiki.com/index.php?title=Playoff_Seeding_and_Tiebreakers

Playoff Seeding Tiebreakers

When two or more teams have the same regular season record, seeding comes down to the following tiebreakers.

To determine the winner of a tie within a Conference the following Tiebreakers go into effect:

1. If there are only 2 teams tied (same record), higher seed is the winner of the head-to-head match up.

1. If there are more than 2 teams tied (same record), then it's based upon these factor in this order:
1. Number of head-to-head wins against the other tied teams with the same record.
2. Number of total points scored.
3. Number of total points allowed.

League Championship Home Team

The league championship home team is decided by the following factors.

1. Regular Season Record
2. Number of points scored.
3. Number of points allowed.

Wasn't specified if that is regular season or playoff points, but it's probably regular season.

All this said: If more than 2 teams are tied, it goes to Total points scored for the season. If two teams are tied with that it goes to Total points allowed.

Well, based on that info... The Elk currently hold a 38 point Total Points advantage against the Triforce...

so if that is the break down that happens, we will most likley stay ranked 2 regardless of what happens in the final game for Triforce....

Looks like you guys will be number #2 Daniel. Just goes to show you how important every game is. I thought were were going to have it locked, and then we loss this close one today. Good luck and I'm sure we've not fought our last battles.

Remember. Fear the deer.
