Well....originally posted in the Oceania forum...doh. Cut and paste for its proper location!
RL work has impacted me lately, but not too late to get out a report on a very important week in Zeta!
Game of the Week #1.....I can't wait to see this
SAFS vs. Wake Island
You all know the high respect I hold for the SAFS, and the respect the Destroyers have earned from me over the course of this season...starting at the Vanuatu game. This is a huge game for the SAFS and and the Destroyers if they want to keep their hopes of hosting a playoff game alive...and with the Seals playing Tuvalu next week, their hopes are definitely alive. Both of these teams game plan well. The SAFS have been a bit inconsistent this season with a couple of very tight losses and 1 very tight win. I think the SAFS beat Tonga next week and a win here would go a long way to helping their post season aspirations. The Destroyers are coming off a good loss to the Seals and won't be in any mood to play nice with the SAFS. This I believe will be a great game and very, very close. I think Wake Island may be surprised in this game. I won't bet on it, but really, this game I am just going to rate as a toss up...I don't know. For those new to the league, this is just the stuff the SAFS do. I see this as......no prediction. Just want to see. It ought to be a good one.
Game of the Week #2.....No tomorrow for somebody
USGD vs. Tuvalu
The Dynasty finish against Newcastle, and Tuvalu finishes against Antarctica. Both will be underdogs next week. The winner is in the playoffs no doubt. The loser....we will see. Both teams have been up and down a bit this year, but when I look at this game I see the possibility of the Matador's putting a sword into the Dynasty. This is another game that I see as probably a very close game, but the Matadors may be able to pull away in the 2nd half. Tuvalu completes a seasonal comeback and wins by 2 TD's.
Game of the Week #3.....Stick a fork in em
Chillicothe vs. Tonga
The Convicts will take on a Terror team that needs this game to keep their season going. Bad news for Tonga....end of the road guys. The Terror kept things interesting all season, but will be in over their heads against a good Chillicothe team. Not that hard a pick to make. Convict by 6 TD's.
Game of the Week #4.....Well done guys!
Cairns vs. Penrith
Both the Fire and the Outlaws have stuggled this year but both have kept game planning and showing up. This game may determine relegation for the loser....I don't know what Bort will do this off season. Regardless, this ought to be a good, close game between two teams deserving of a win. Too many zeros for the Fire offense througout the season though. I see Penrith rising up and holding up the Fire for a well deserved win. Penrith by 2 TD's.
Minimum write up games:
Antarctica vs. Drunk Fu
Non-game of the week as the Drunk Fu look to next season and a new start.
Osaka vs. Sydney
The Buckeyes can look ahead in this game. Osaka by lots.
Newcastle vs. Gold Coast
I don't care which Samaurai team shows up.....Minotaurs by lots.
Vanuatu vs. Hattrick
The Volcano roast Hattrick as they get ready for the playoffs. Vanuatu by lots.
