2 games left.

1. Rome Pride, 13-1. Clinched #1 seed. Have tiebreakers against all 11-3 teams, so win any ties.

2. Newcastle Raiders, 11-3. Wins over Eurotrash and Whitechapel give them the 2 seed. They will hold that seed if they win out. With Southampton (5-9) and Adios (3-11) left to play, it is most likely that they will be 13-3 and have the #2 seed.

3. Eurotrash Rabid Bats, 11-3. Lost to Newcastle and beat Whitechapel, giving them the #3 seed. Since it is unlikely that Newcastle will lose either of its last two games, Eurotrash needs to win their last two to hold the #3 seed. They have yet to play PGL (9-5, just came off big win against Newcastle) and Southampton (5-9). If they can hold up against PGL, they will be the #3 seed.

4. Whitechapel Rippers, 11-3. Their 3 losses came to the 3 teams above them, so they have no tiebreakers. They have a playoff home game in their hands, if they win out. With Whitchurch (5-9) and Armagh (1-13) left, they will likely hold at least the #4 seed, depending on Eurotrash/PGL game.

5. Donegal Wailers, 10-4. Donegal's only tiebreaker is against Eurotrash. They will get a home playoff game if they win out and Eurotrash loses to PGL. They still have two tough teams to play in Oslo (8-6) and West Country (10-4), so if they get a home playoff game, they certainly earned it.

6. West Country Wyverns, 10-4. They have tiebreakers against all the teams below them, so have locked up a playoff spot. However, they have no tiebreakers against teams above them, so will not get a home playoff game without a miracle happening. The #5 spot is in the grasp, however, if they beat Donegal in the final game of the season. Before that, they will have to play against Armagh (1-11).

7. PGL Games, 9-5. After a strong game against Newcastle, they have shown they can be a team to be feared in the playoffs. However, they still have Eurotrash and Coventry left to play, and with Oslo having a tiebreaker against them, they'll need to win out or see Oslo losing games to stay in the postseason. They have Eurotrash (11-3) and Coventry (9-5) left to play, with the Coventry game possibly being played for a playoff berth, winner making the playoffs and loser going home.

8. Coventry Owls (9-5). Coventry, like PGL, lost to Oslo and needs to win out or get help from Oslo to make the playoffs. The final game against PGL is likely to determine the 8th seed. Coventry has a very tough road, however, as they play Rome (13-1) before the showdown with PGL. They will need to beat Rome or have Oslo lose next week to make the game against PGL meaningful.

9. Oslo Ice Robots (8-6). Bubble team Oslo has tiebreakers against the #7 and #8 teams... so if they can win out, they will get a playoff spot UNLESS the final Coventry/PGL game is a tie. To have a chance, Oslo will need to dispatch Donegal (10-4), then go on to be Amsterdam (1-13). They can lose to Donegal and still get in the playoffs if Coventry loses to Rome and PGL, OR PGL loses to Eurotrash and Coventry. They make it almost a sure thing if they win out, and that's what they will be doing.

It will be interesting to watch the next two games, as a lot is still to be determined, and will likely be determined in the final week of the season.

lol. going to be a race all the way to finish for the last 2 seeds. the upset win over newcastle helped us stay in the race. without that win we would have had even less of a shot of squeaking in. looking forward to our week 16 game against coventry. everything will be on the line in that game.

I fired my DC over that game. Called for a run defense against you guys. After the game, I did a little checking, and the idiot calls for a run defense against the #2 passer (now #1) in the conference.

Good write up Cherrie. Lots to play for yet for some teams, I guess we are hoping for Eurothrash to slip up one more time, that would move us up. Really the 3 and 4 seed is a wash anyway, IMO. All games in the playoffs are tough, and being in our position we will get one home playoff game and that is most likely it. Good luck to the teams fighting to get in.

Just real happy to be in this position after my first two seasons as owner of Coventry. Nine wins looks real good Interesting writeup - thanks. We know our backs are against the wall - PGL has kicked our tails hard in every previous meeting so we are sending over the cheerleaders the night before the game. Two for the Quarterback.

So if we win our next game, we'll have only lost to the top 5 teams in the conference. If we lose our next game, we'll have only lost to the top 6 teams in the conference, plus the team tied for first in Zeta. I guess we know where we stand, and that we had enough close games that who knows what we can do in the playoffs.

Nobody tell Eurotrash and Rome that if they throw their next games they can potentially avoid the wild card that is Oslo!

That was actually the first game I took over as DC on our team too. We've been flying without a DC all season so I kind of regret waiting so long to get that side of the ball working.

I've been highly impressed with Coventry's big turnaround this season. You guys have really surprised me with the way you've taken it to some of the better teams.

Unfortunately, it's me that takes over at DC. My brother had run it for 3 seasons, and know his style, which is what I'll emulate.

It takes a long time to take a team up from the bottom - I spent the better part of two seasons trading, recruiting, working on the stadium. Still have a lot to do on the stadium but the players on the team are reason for optimism for the future. This season I stayed with these guys and let the chemistry repair itself (probably the biggest single improvement over past seasons). I thought about dropping down several times but the guys wanted to stay and slug it out - glad we did. No matter the outcome of the last couple of games, Coventry will be back next season stronger and more determined to win.

Looks like things are pretty clear now:

1. Rome Pride, 14-1. One last game against Rockledge (1-13). They have the #1 seed.

2. Newcastle Raiders, 12-3. Unless they lose to Adios (LOL), they are the #2 seed.

3. Eurotrash Rabid Bats, 12-3. Again, unless they lose to Southampton, they are assured the #3 seed.

4. Whitechapel Rippers, 12-3. Against Armagh. Another win, they will be the #4 seed.

5. West Country Wyverns, 11-4. They play #6 Donegal for the 5th seed. Winner of that game will be #5.

6. Donegal Wailers, 10-5. They play #5 West Country. Winner takes the $5 seed. If Donegal loses, they could fall all the way to 8th. Oslo and Coventry beat them. So a Coventry win and Donegal loss puts the Wailers in 8th. A Coventry loss and Donegal is #7. A Donegal win and they are #5.

7. Oslo Ice Robots, 9-6. They can still miss the playoffs with a loss to Amsterdam and a tie in the Coventry/PGL game. As that is unlikely to happen, they will be the 6th seed if Donegal loses, and 7th seed if Donegal wins.

8. PGL Gamers, 9-6. Play #9 Coventry for the 8th and final seed. If they win, they are the #8 seed. If they lose, they are out. If they tie and Oslo miraculously loses to Amsterdam, they are 8th.

9. Coventry Owls, 9-6. They play #8 PGL for a playoff spot. They get the #7 seed if they win and Donegal loses. They secure the 8th seed if they win and Donegal wins or ties.

Top 4 seeds are set, barring a miraculous upset to the 2, 3, or 4 seeds. The West Country/Donegal game and PGL/Coventry game will determine seeding for the bottom half of the field. PGL/Coventry will determine which of the two make the playoffs.

I really do not want to play these guys in the first round.

I think the team to fear the most in the bottom 5 is Donegal. Although any team can win, those are the guys that scare me the most. All teams are tough, but we'd prefer to avoid them
