ALPHA CONFERENCE

The Assassins, both Amsterdam teams, Helsinki, and Stockholm have officially clinched playoff spots.

FIGHTING FOR THE TOP
Barcelona Assassins 12-0-0 (Projected: 15-1)
Amsterdam Magic Dragons 11-1-0 (Projected: 15-1)
Amsterdam Red Lights 11-1-0 (Projected: 15-1)
Game 14 will either lock up the conference for the Assassins or plunge the top three teams into a three-way tie with a Red Lights' victory. The tie breaker goes by points scored, which right now would put the Red Lights on top. I'm not sure if 2nd and 3rd would still be a matter of points or defer to the head-to-head matchup, but Barcelona would be ahead on points, and also in the matchup.

---------------------------------
IN THE PLAYOFFS
Helsinki Hitmen 9-3-0 (Projected: 13-3)
The Hitmen's only losses came against the top 3 teams in the conference, and I think that's a trend that will hold for the rest of the season. All three teams that remain on their schedule are still alive in the playoff hunt, so it will be interesting to see if any of these teams boost to get a win over Helsinki.

Stockholm Dynamites 9-4-0 (Projected: 12-4)
A decent matchup with Cologne in game 16 still ahead. There's no chance Liverpool or Hamburg will pull an upset, so even if Stockholm drops two games they'll still have a playoff spot.

---------------------------------
THE BUBBLE
If my predictions come true we will have four teams at 9-7 to fill the last three playoff spots. The rules say it would come down to head to head wins. This wouldn't be easy to sort out. Cologne and South Beach would have two head to head wins, and Barcelona and Athens would only have one. Then I guess the last spot would go to the winner of the Barcelona-Athens game, which I'd call for Athens. I don't want to tax my brain too much about it unless it comes closer to happening.

Barcelona Dare devils 8-5-0 (Projected: 9-7)
Lost to South Beach today, and possible they lose 2 out of 3. Two wins would break the possible four way tie in the 6-9 positions and eject Athens from the playoff picture. A loss against Athens might move them down to 9th, depending on how the tie-breaker works out.

Cologne Ghosts 7-6-0 (Projected: 9-7)
I think they will beat Glasgow and Dusseldorf, finishing them up at 9-7.

South Beach Sea Hawks 7-6-0 (Projected: 9-7)
The Hawks move into the playoff picture at #8, with one tough game left.

Athens Devils 7-6-0 (Projected: 9-7)
They dropped to 9th and are on the outside looking in, but with games against the Dare devils and Hitmen still on the schedule it's possible they lose 2 out of 3 to finish up, but I think it will only be one.

---------------------------------
STILL ALIVE, BUT NOT LIKELY
Dusseldorf Noobs 6-7-0 (Projected: 7-9)
Norwich Nighthawks 6-7-0 (Projected: 6-10)
Glasgow Vultures 5-8-0 (Projected: 6-10)

---------------------------------
MATHEMATICALLY ELIMINATED
San Marino Falcons 3-10-0
Mannheim Spartans 2-11-0
Hamburg Vipers 1-12-0
Liverpool SEA Fusion 0-13-0

ZETA CONFERENCE

I think the playoff teams in Zeta are set, it's just a matter of what order. As it stands now, Reading and Milan are still alive, but they'd have to win all three games to do it, and with their schedules I don't see that happening. Reading will lose to Denver, and Milan will lose to Chambersburg or Reading, or maybe both.

All Baden, Lyon, and Chambersburg have to do is win one game each and both Reading and Milan will be officially eliminated.

Predicted Playoff Order
1. Blackburn
2. Denver
3. Jacksonville
4. Lyon
5. Berlin
6. Atlanta
7. Chambersburg
8. Baden

CLINCHED FIRST PLACE
Blackburn Carnage 13-0-0 (Projected: 16-0)
Only one challenge left, a game 15 matchup with Jacksonville, and two games against the 12th and 16th ranked teams in the conference. Even if Blackburn drops that game they still finish with one loss and the best conference record and home field for the playoffs.

---------------------------------
BATTLE FOR SECOND
Denver Hounds 11-2-0 (Projected: 14-2)
Denver still has some competitive games to plan for, but I think they can emerge victorious in all of them. Watch for the Atlanta game.

Jacksonville Jackalopes 11-2-0 (Projected: 13-3)
The Jackalopes took care of Baden, and now on to the big matchup against Blackburn. Other than that it's just a few easy games. Will they boost against the Carnage in an attempt to spoil their undefeated season hopes? Will Blackburn boost to keep that from happening?
Stay tuned.

---------------------------------
ROUNDING OUT THE PLAYOFFS
Atlanta 404 9-4-0 (Projected: 10-6)
The last three games for the 404 are a real mystery to me as far as their future goes. This team hasn't been playing very good football very consistently, and have been tough to predict. They've got the players to take care of business, but they drop games to lower ranked teams and just squeeze out wins in others. I think Atlanta finishes losing 2 of 3.

Berlin Blitz 9-4-0 (Projected: 10-6)
Berlin was the the team we on the Carnage were looking at as our biggest challenge of the season. It was looking to be the case until they dropped a game to Jacksonville by 4 points and we trashed them in game 9. Since then they've lost to a team in the middle of the pack and another near the bottom of the pile... so I really don't know where this team is heading. Their remaining opponents are ranked 5th, 6th and 7th. I think this next game against Atlanta will be a toss up. I'm probably wrong, but I say they beat Atlanta and Baden but fall to Lyon.

Lyon Winemakers 8-5-0 (Projected: 11-5)
I think the Winemakers can win their next game and their last game. The game against Berlin will be a challenge, but I think as much as Lyon will win the game, Berlin will lose it.

Baden Bandits 8-5-0 (Projected: 9-7)
I think Baden has a chance to beat Berlin in game 16, while they cruise to a win in 15 against Southampton. Games 13 and 14 are not so likely, but their Team Chemistry might help them out against Lyon.

Chambersburg Trojans 8-5-0 (Projected: 10-6)
The Trojans have really been getting in there and taking care of business. They've beaten the cellar-dwellers in their path so far, and have both won and lost against some of the better teams. I think the only game left they have a chance of losing is the Denver game, but that's it.

---------------------------------
OUT OF IT
Milan Eagles 5-8-0
Reading Armed Centaurs 5-8-0

---------------------------------
MATHEMATICALLY ELIMINATED
Stockholm Lions 4-9-0 W2
Barcelona Panthers 2-10-1
Nashville 615 2-10-1
Southampton Shadows 3-10-0
Birmingham Polipocs 1-12-0
Sexintown Rubbers 0-13-0

well if you want us to play 17 I'm sure we can win the 4 games we have left then, so chalk us up for 12-5!

he has that many yards in a USA BBB league, on a team that hasn't won a single game and are all LOWER levels than him!

you know the saying 'turn on the afterburners?

please excuse a few of the slower ones from earlier on in the season, he started off this year at level 4, so he didn't quite have the speed to do what he does in some of these first ones.

Your opponents look horribly slow...

not to take anything away from what you've done, but when I saw the levels of the players involved I expected a bit more speed.

well the lower ones are a little earlier in the season vs some of the worse teams, but I guarantee the blackreign are not slow, just Buzz has the speed to make anyone look slow... seriously.

he is fast, trust me.

Just in case anyone is wondering, points scored goes like this:

Red Lights-764

Assassins-729

Magic Dragons-610

If the Red Lights are win, they will most likely gain the #1 seed with games against San Marino and Mannheim. The Assassins have Mannheim than the Barcelona Dare devils. The Magic Dragons seem to be mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, but have two games ahead they could put some big numbers up against, Liverpool and Hamburg.

It should be an interesting race if the Red Lights can pull out a win.

Don't think you mean that. The Magic Dragons will be unable to do better than 3rd IF the Red Lights can win.

Isn't it points scored? They could put up 100+ vs. both.

If there's a three way tie, which you can't break by head-to-head matchups, you go to total points scored for the entire season. At this point it'd be Red Lights, Assassins and Magic Dragons.
You said they'd be eliminated from the playoffs... I was just correcting that.
