So both Davao and Singapore had challenging games vs Anchorage, but both came out on top.

This matchup is very exciting.... The game may very well decide who will be the # 1 Seed in Naga.

Sub Plot
Red Rum vs B Real : Passing games are nearly identical. Red Rum slightly ahead in TD's and Yds, While B Real is slightly more accurate and has been sacked 3 fewer times.
Who will show they are the best QB in AA # 3.

Singapore is trying to prove they are the class of AA. They felt like they should have been promoted, but stubbed there toe in the 1st rd of the playoffs last season. Davao stubbed there toe in the 2nd rd of A League playoffs but did enough to be promoted. Will Singapore show they are the class of AA Ball, or will Davao show that they could do the same thing to Singapore come playoffs

We have had a great season, better than anyone ever expected after being promoted. Now we are here.. we don't want to look back. We feel like we can compete with the Nose, and possibly even win. Regardless we do not feel like the under dogs here. We feel like this is a VERY even matchup and anything can happen. We are looking fwd to the game on Monday Morning. Good Luck Mike and Good Luck to your Nose!

Yes this will be a great game. I run the offense, and it is tough to find a hole in your defense. It is going to be one hell of a game. We have to game plan better then we did against Anchorage or I think we lose.

Definitely for the #1 seed in the playoffs, as we have both played our toughest games (Anchorage, Ujung, Shanghai for Singapore and you guys only having Shaghai left for a tough game after us). I really don't care about the #1 seed in the playoffs, as it has been a curse, but I do care a lot about winning this game.

The QB is a nice side note, but I think this game comes down to whose defense steps up. Both are high powered offenses, and whichever defense can slow the roll of the other team will determine this game IMO.

I took a look at some common opponents (1-8 Seeds currently) just for the hell of it:

Anchorage
D: 34-20
S: 38-23

Ujung
D: 76-21
S: 71-35

69Mafia
D: 38-7
S: 90-0

Medan
D: 78-10
S: 55-13

XomDom
D: 49-38
S: 94-17

TOTALS
D: 275 - 96
S: 348 - 88

This is going to be fun! Good luck to you guys as well.

agreed this is what I've been waiting for all season. This league is a very good league but this game means more than just a win or loss.

Thanks Shagg for the kind words - we were just the better team today - you guys have a great team and from what I have seen from you and Mike a great owner and GM's. We game planned the hell out of this one so it was nice to see the results - but I still consider you guys one of the favorites to take this thing home.

Looking fwd to a potential rematch but that is certainly a long ways away.

Can't overlook those Shanghai Bucs.

Good luck the rest of the season guys.

I don't know about the Devil Dogs being a clearly better team than Singapore.

It looks to me like they pulled the WR screen out of the hat and Singapore did
not pay special attention in covering it.

Some Devil Dog's WR Screens (I'm sure I didn't capture them all here):

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=234765&pbp_id=9777561 (59 yd TD)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=234765&pbp_id=9778357 (Bad defensive call: 26 yds)

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=234765&pbp_id=9779480 (30 yd TD)

You can bet Singapore's defensive coordinator will not make this mistake
again. Regardless, it's an incredibly difficult play to stop.

I am not surprised with the results because both of these teams are very good so either team could have won. I am surprised that it wasn't closer though. Either way, best of luck to both your teams in the last two games and in the playoffs. Hopefully, Anchorage will get a rematch with both of you in the playoffs.

Anchorage tried this play a few times on Singapore, and Singapore was able to stop it. I think this comes down to good game planning here. Thats the whole point of the game, which is expose your opponents weakness by using your strengths.
