The playoffs are all but over in the western conference.

1.Calgary Hitmen (12-1)- No surprise here. Calgary is 12-1 and one of the favorites in the playoffs. However, they got crunched by Kukamonge earlier in the season and might have dificulty if the play. If I were a Hitmen fan i would rather see them play the Diamond Cutters than the dangerous Grizzlies.

2. Lake Erie Levaiathans (12-1)-This week the #2 team is clear. I had some doubt about this team early but a win over the previously 11-1 Monsters proves this team has what it takes to go far in the playoffs

3.Kukamonga Monsters (11-2)-Depsite a setback in losing to Lake Erie, i consider this team my Dark Horse. They may be able to sneak up on teams and win it all, this is a talented team

4.Montreal Rush (10-3)-Despite my question of how this team would do against good teams, they prevailed over Halifax and Yellowknife in a row and could make a run at the championship. They still must fight hard to end the season so they can attempt to edge out Bismarck for the first-round home-playoff game.

5. Bismarck Bears (10-3)- Bismarck is lowern than Montreal because of the beating they encountered against Erie. However, this team is under the radar and a 4,5 matchup against Montreal will be every close

6. Goose Bay Grizzlies (8-5)- They are in a 3 way tie with Halifax and Yellowknife with an 8-5 record and even though they lose to those teams, that was before the great event called "The OC/DC Change". Since then they are 6-1 and a force to be reckon with. They put a stamp on the fact they can compete with the big boys by losing a close, 2 point loss to #3 Monsters. They beat the Blue last week, clinching them a spot in the playoffs aftr last years disappointing 8-8 finsish. This will be their 1st playoff appearance. I try to be unbiased in saying this could be the best 8th seed in glb history. So much talent, Watch out!

7.Yellowknife Diamond Cutters(8-5)- Even though they got crushed by Halifax they edge them out in the ranking because Halifax has droppped 3 games in a row and Yellowknife has stayed good. This team has had trouble with the big boys, but an upset is possible from this bunch from Northern Canada.

8.Halifax Hell Reapers(8-5)- Halifax has set the record for most spots dropped in a 3 week span. 3 weeks ago they sat at 8-2 and the #2 Power Ranking and a league favorite. They have dropped 6 spots since. They have ran into some tough times of late dropping 3 in a row and the closest game a 2 TD loss to the Rush. This team will need to finish 11-5 to prove their elite stature.

9.Labatt Blue(5-8)- The Blue has some questions to answer following this year. Despite being a slow-build team I expected them to be playing into the heart of winter. They have dropped some close games and a loss to Goose bay officially eliminates them from the playoffs. This team will contend next year. Their owner bighookworm has done a great job with this team after an 0-16 year last season and an 8-8 or 7-9 finish willl keep the ole' ball coach in uniform next year.

9. Manitoba Warmegeddons (5-8)- This team proves the phrase: "Offense win's games, defense wins championships" Well, they havent won games due to a dismal defense. This team couldn't stop a nosebleed on defense. A decent offense they have, but when you give up 34 points a game you ain't going to win much. A dissappointing season could put pbddeberry's job at jeopardy.

10. Bosphorous Bridgekeepers(5-8)- This team isnt mathematically eliminated, but they have as much of a chance aking the winter games as Plaxico Burress not going to jail. A huge upset over Labatt was a monster win, not to mention much damage was resulting in the storming of the field of The Bridge. thye play Erie, Goose Bay, and Bismarck. To get in, they need to beat all those teams which is like winning 5 jackpot in a row in Vegas and they need the Grizzlies to lose 3 in a row including to the Marauders who should be more like the Pussys this season. The odds of this team making the playoffs are 1-1,000,000.

11-16: Does it fucking matter, these teams all suck so bad they dont deserve to have their names on this thread. They have humilated their cities and I am not responsible for fans protesting and wearing paper bags that say "Beefcake, they should call us Cupcake" Beefcake should pm support an ask if they can pay their fans instead of the fans paying. No one would watch this team willingly. It is like combining the Raiders offense and Lions defense. I advise their owner to change the name to the Cupcake Come Kick Our Asses

Thanks, I tried to add some humor. did not mean to offend anyone just freedom of speech and puttin on an act. Hope you enjoy

and the winner of the worst player of the week goes to...... Grise Ford Icicles QB Cabhan Loomis who was pathetic against the Turtles throwing 4 INT. Thats some Rex Grossman shit right there

I agree with where you put the Hell Reapers, though it's tough to call the 3 8-5 teams. I'm just glad we have the tiebreakers over them and 3 easier games left in the regular season. We've got a decent shot at 11-5, but probably 10-6 at worst. Both of the other 8-5 teams have at least one game against a top 3 team, which odds say they'll probably lose. Given that, we're probably looking at a #6 seed. We'll have to see what sort of playoff magic we can pull out of our butts...

Thanks for putting this stuff out, it's a good read.

btw, I personally think we're better than the other 8-5 teams, but I'm a little biased...

Once again you impress with your rankings boltz.

But come on the Hell Reapers just played 3 top 5 teams in the league. I think were atleast better then the Diamond Cutters and only a rematch would decide between us and you. If we dont finish with 11 wins i'll be pissed there not good teams really the last 3. But i see us exiting the playoffs early and Winning the Ship next Year

basically YKDC against halifax, halifax used that screen pass thing in the singleback big 3 WR set. that gave them a TD everytime... otherwise it was a good matchup but I take the heat on that one since I didn't have an AI set to stop it like I do now.

i actually think are OC got rid of the WR screen because our WR didnt have good strength to block.
