Since Zeta gets their report, I thought I'd take a look at the playoff picture in Alpha. Using a modified "magic number" ([x]) to show what the team needs to do to make the playoffs.
1. Gold Coast .. 12-0 .. Clinched
2. Guam Devil Dogs .. 11-1 .. Clinched
3. E.C. Express .. 10-2 .. Clinched
4. New Zealand Knights .. 9-3 .. [1]
5. Tasmanian Devils .. 9-3 .. [1]
6. Cook Island Cobras .. 7-5 .. [3]
7. Ino Islanders .. 6-6 .. [4]
8. Adelaide Black Snakes .. 6-6 .. [4]
9. Rawaki Island Phoenix .. 5-7 .. [5]
10. Christchurch Nightmare .. 5-7 .. [5]
11. Papeete Pirate Pandas .. 5-7 .. [5]
12. Sacramento Gunslingers .. 5-7 .. [5]
13. Kiribati Death Traders .. 2-10 .. Eliminated
14. Sacramento Skidmarks .. 2-10 .. Eliminated
15. Amishlongs Wrecking Crew .. 1-11 .. Eliminated
16. Kung Fu Pandas .. 0-12 .. Eliminated
The top 3 have secured their playoff ticket, while the Knights and Devils can do it with a win in their next game. Cook Island, Ino, and Adelaide just have to win and they're in, but there are four teams at 5-7 poised to jump into one of the last spots should any of those teams falter.
EDIT: Should it come down to a multi-team tie-breaker, Ino looks to have the edge if head-to-head can't determine the higher seed. They are second in the conference in points scored with 780.
