The whole Peckerwood's RB vs. Great's RB discussion has been entertaining. Always fun to read the "my player is better than yours" posts. So I would love to know how the league felt about my QB, Dannny Marino. Based on stats, he's easily considered a top 3 QB in the league. Now I am just wondering how the league feels about a level 22 QB outplaying all these QB's which are 12+ levels higher?

This probably won't sit well with most of you and I just want to let you know I understand. I would be jealous too. So go ahead and flame away at me, all the while knowing your team's QB can't hold a level 22 QB's jockstrap.

Ready.... go

I'd say in the entire league:

1. Strongarm
2. American
3. Mason
...you're probably around the 4-6 range in the entire league, a good 2nd in Lion.

Must have a pretty nice build, nothing to flame about there.

I have been trying to explain this very same thing to you. Until I just boosted him he was 5-10 lvls behind everybody else and he still puts up better numbers.

For example Hamburger lvl 35 ypc 7.1
Red lvl 26 ypc 7.3

Danny has been sacked 33 times and hurried 44 times. Which actually makes his numbers even more impressive imo.

Again, I am not trying to take anything away from your RB. He has a great YPC. And I for one, have much respect that you are doing it at a lower level than most RBs. However, Hamburger pimp has about the same YPC and he has twice the carries. Now you know that means something. Not to mention his 50 TDs. So what I am saying is your RB is great and I recognize that, but Pimp is just better.

Most likely there was a sacrifice in the build that lacks speed and agility in favor of passing and strength. Not a bad decision if that is how you want to roll.

Well you do have a really great offense to play around with. I think for the most part the team around a QB affects his overall play much more then the qb build itself. Still its obvious your guy has to be built really well and i'll give credit where credit is due.

Thanks.

I would have to argue about your rankings though. Strongarm and American are amazing quarterbacks.. but when it comes to QBs stats, I look at more than just total yards and total TDs... those guys have killer stats in that area and have put up solid number with more attempts than Danny, so I respect that... but I place a ton of value on QB Rating and completion %, which Marino takes in both catagories from these guys..

I will say that Strongarm's TD to Int ratio is crazy good... and I'm also not saying Marino is better than these guys... just recognizing that he is right there with them and is at a 10-15 level disadvantage.

I have to agree. The offense around Dannny Marino is pretty great and certainly results in better numbers.

That is exactly why I have him #1. TD to INT ration, to me, is the most important statistic for a QB. You can throw it around all day long and make completions...but if you can't make the great decisions to get the ball into the endzone and keep it out of defenders hands, then what good are you?

Regarding TD to Int... Marino's #'s go back to the beginning of the season when his build was obviously still unfinished (and it still isn't), but it was pretty raw back then. He threw 4 TDs and 6 Ints in those first two games. Since then he is looking at a 55 to 4 TD to Int ratio.

I think it also has a lot to do with the kind of offense your team runs. In general we are pretty aggresive in the passing game and teams know that, so they play the pass.

As for INT's we made a change to tactics and since that change Johnny has only thrown 1 int.

well we're going to look at things like that how about Grayson Talbot?
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=470244
37 TD to 3 INTs and a 82.1% completion average for the season

oh and when can I start fighting about (FB) Pancake Grill > Bonafide Nytestorm this season?
