- prediction: another team earmarked for 3-4 wins. we'll say 4 for now. finish 11-5.

- prediction: 3-4 wins. i gave the hats and fruits 4 wins when on the fence, but i'm interested to see how Dr. Pimpjuice's Argos play this team. finish 9.5-6.5

9 Cambridge Chieftains 6-5
- big games left: NBK, torps, fruits
- wins key tiebreak with: argos
- loses key tiebreak with: everyone else.
- prediction: to Skvan's credit, this team greatly overachieved all year, and really has a tough schedule ahead of it. i see 2 wins. finish 8-7...

** honorable mention to warfield and east cairo that both do still have shots. warfield's remaining schedule is too tough, argos might have a shot as they prove to be a very tough out this time of year. and also to red river who has had some tough breaks, but remains a very scary team **

very possible. i'd take 4 to vegas. but would rather lean towards 5 than 3 for you.

plus, some sneaky team (in the hunt, or not) will ninja boost with two games left and really screw things up.

I think we have a decent run heading in where as Black Death has a real tough run.

All in all though excellent write up, topped that Zeta one

While the whole "anyone can beat anyone" is a little bit of a stretch -- okay a lot of a stretch -- I'd say you guys do have better league depth towards the bottom of the league, but IMO it's only the top 5-6 that count anyway.

I hope LLK boosting doesn't end up screwing us over though. Our philosophy was that it'll get us a good playoff seed and some extra cash since we'd be able to knock off the #8 and hopefully #4 team, that way we don't win the championship and get moved up to an uncapped league, then Season 7 have a good amount of cash while staying in a similarly competitive league.

i agree that death have a tougher 5 games. top spot is a toss-up. death either finishes 1 or 3 (kobe has tiebreak over them)

It's that kind of thinking that makes Zeta inferior to alpha in every way. I guarantee that if you polled the top 12 teams in Alpha all of them would tell you they would rather be in the championship game even if it meant moving up because they all enjoy the tough and meaningful games. None of us is hoping we lose so we can stay in BBB, all of us have much loftier expectations in A and then AA and then AAA and finally the Pro league.

Btw DavidD do you have any asperations in life or do you want to sit at the bottom of the pile all your life? Just asking?

Agree with Mere. Even us the underpowered Cambridge Chieftains would love to win it all, even if it meant battleing it out next season to avoid going 0-16. Whats the point of playing if its not to win it all ?

What has gotten me is not just the strength of the teams in Alpha but if you ignore one or two teams they are all GM'd really well and game tactics continue to develop and improve with each passing game.

Sad thing about Alpha is that one or two teams are in financial trouble already. Not saying anyone is done for but we all have over 1 million left to pay out in wages alone and a max of 3 (some have 2) homes games left which is ish 400-600k in concessions, some teams are going to be mighty close come the end of the season unless they make the playoffs

My take on the Alpha playoff situation. The current top 8 are the 8 that make the playoffs. As for who wins out ... take your pick on their day any of that top 8 could beat any of the other top 8 and of course come playoffs there will be no magic potion use to throw things out of wack. Not sure who if any of those teams though has boosts left to take.

everyone has boosts except hat tossers and iue5 from what i can tell
