I should have known better than to actually think people on the internet value their families over a MMORPG.

Yup, you are the only one with a family, friends, and a life.

In case no one explained this to you, no one is flaming you for having things that come before GLB. You got flamed for bitching and acting like GLB should be changed to accomodate your life.

You're not the first to have a gameplan jacked up, have the wrong tactics, or not apply your level up points due to real-life issues. You are the first (that I know of) to throw a hissy-fit and sell your team over it.

I value my family quite highly. But as much as I value them, I'm not going to pay $500 to fly to NC from Wisconsin last minute over Thanksgiving weekend just to spend a couple of days at home before I have to be back on Monday for school.

Some people actually have nothing to do on the holiday.

Honestly dude.. you don't think it is ridiculous to have games played on a national holiday? There is a reason everything shuts down for Thanksgiving. This includes pretty much ever business that is not medical.

I sold my team because my own players were mad because I couldn't get the tactics in on time.

How does this relate to anything that I said? Besides the fact that both our statements contain the word family..

Would you be mad if you returned from the trip and you had players mad because you couldn't change tactics?

I bet the vast majority choose to have nothing to do.

Always, but this isn't about that - it's about an owner in the PRO league being a baby and taking his ball and going home. This can screw up the integrity of the playoffs in APL now. But, hey anybody who shafts his players midseason can't be all bad, right?
