Just a quick glance but it looks like
Siena and Chernobyl in a battle for the final playoff spot.
London's upset of Mannheim really put them in already.
At WORST London and Portuguese will finish at 10-6.
Siena probably 9-7.
Chernobyl looking at 9-7 also but the first tie breaker is head to head.

Chernobyl needs to win 2 of the 3 vs Helsinki (doubtful), EASTWICK (probable?), and Denmark (another tough nut).
Not "digging" at any team, just light observations...

Counterpoints?

I think the race for the Zeta #8 seed will be over after Week 14 (and definitely by the end of Week 15). In the next three games, I don't think that Siena can do worse than 2-1 with Berlin and Trojan on the schedule. At a minimum, that will give them 9 wins on the season. In Chernobyl's next three games, it will be difficult for Chernobyl to go 2-1 with both Helsinki and EASTWICK. I think they probably lose both those games (sorry guys), but beat Milano, to give them 7 wins. After that, even if Chernobyl wins out (Denmark and Berlin), and Siena loses its last two (London and the Men-of-War), they end up tied and Siena wins the tie breaker. If Chernobyl wins against EASTWICK, then they still probably lose the next week against Denmark, so I still think they would be out.

Just my thoughts on how it will probably go down, but Chernobyl has enough talent to surprise me, so I hope they keep it interesting until the end.

Gangsta.

I'm rooting for Siena personally, just because they haven't tasted the postseason yet... gotta love the underdogs.

agreed, and they'd make a nice appetizer too!

We're gonna try to win out, anything to not play against Tilburg in the first round.

This seems a good race to watch. Jay could do with shooting himself to give us all a brief break even if it's just his thigh.

Don't mess with the G-Men Jay. I've been rooting for them since i heard about football. They were though years, but now they're the only SB champions I know who actually play like champions the season after (Patriots excluded).

My thoughts on the Zeta conference playoffs:

Tilburg, Helsinki, and Mannheim are a given as the first 3 seeds (in that order), and I think Eastwick will hold on, leading the horde by 1 and probably scoring 2-2, or possibly 3-1 in the rest of their games (I can't see them beating Helsinki). I've lost some confidence in them though, after the fairly wide margin of defeat laid on them by Siena. I think Denmark will take them down another peg, too.

So, I predict Eastwick finishes 11-5.

As for the 8-4 horde:

Denmark: I predicted you to beat Eastwick. Don't let me down! Milano and Brasilia will be easy wins, while Chernobyl will pose a bit of a challenge. I think the Destruction will bounce back from the two losses, though, and go 4-0.

Denmark: 12-4.

Portugal: Tough team to pick for. Next 3 are nearly no-brainers. 2-1 for that stretch. The final week versus Siena, though, is a problem. I'll say Siena, judging by the way they've been racking up wins these past 2 weeks. 2-2 overall.

Portugal: 10-6

Siena: GG vs. Eastwick/Denmark. Other than my own team, this is the one team I'd love to see do well. Berlin and the Trojans should pose no problem, and the pick's been made over Portugal. Now, against London, I really can't say how it'll turn out. This is probably the most crucial game in determining seed order right now. I'll put you down for a close win over the Pounds.

Siena: 12-4

London: You may have upset Mannheim, but I seriously doubt you can pull it off against Tilburg. I made the pick vs. Siena, and the other 2 are pushovers. 2-2.

London: 10-6

Chernobyl: No good news here. I don't think you'll pull it off. Your only wins have come against the pushover part of the league, and the tough slate versus 3 teams with a combined 28-8 record will probably lead to a 1-3 finish.

Chernobyl: 8-8

So, my prediction on seed order:

1. Tilburg
2. Helsinki
3. Mannheim
4. Siena
5. Denmark
6. Eastwick
7. Portugal
8. London
