After a 3 week hiatus, the rankings return.

1. (+1) Tallahassee Seminoles 10-1
After an early hiccup against the Valiant, my preseason favorite has righted the ship and has been impressive ever since. They make the leap to the top spot in this weeks rankings because of their two impressive wins over the North Vancouver Hurricanes and the USAORG Titans. The Seminoles will be looking a head to their match-up against the Eh's which will probably decide who gets the top seed in the playoffs.

2. (-1) Toronto Eh's 10-1
The Eh's surrender the top spot not because of anything they have done wrong but rather the statement that Tallahassee made over the past three weeks. The Eh's demolished the Strikers in week 10 as they have continued to roll since their week 2 loss to the Titans. The whole conference will be watching their game against the Seminoles but don't forget to check the result of their week 15 game as the Hurricanes will be looking to make some noise headed into the playoffs.

3. (+3) Vancouver Valiant 9-2
Vancouver continues their see-sawing in the rankings as they hop back up to the third spot. They rebounded nicely after their embarrassing loss at the hands of the Eh's by crushing the Turtles, Current and Washemplae. They have been the only team to beat the Seminoles and have faced the top 5 teams in the conference. Their only test remaining is to avoid an upset at the hands of the Strikers but going 5-0 to finish the season is the likeliest of scenarios.

4. (-1) USAORG Titans 9-2
The Titans fought hard but couldn't come through in the end against the mighty Seminoles. That loss against the Strikers is really the only blight on their season but they can have a chance to erase the hangover from that loss in an upcoming game against the Hurricanes. The Canes are the last top 5 team they have left to play and a convincing win would erase all memory of their earlier slip as they gear up for the playoffs.

5. (-1) North Vancouver Hurricanes 9-2
The Seminoles proved to be too much for the Hurricanes as they let another close one slip through their fingers. Luckily, or unluckily depending on how you look at it, they still have two more chances to prove they belong in the conference championship conversation. Upcoming games against the Eh's and Titans are very important for their credibility and chances to host a playoff game. They better not overlook the Turtles in the last game of the season either as it could easily prove to be a trap game for them.

6. (+1) Thunderbay Strikers 7-4
The Strikers are inconsistent but dangerous. They failed to be remotely competitive in 44-3 loss to the Eh's but exploded for 66 points in a 27 point rout of the Turtles. They are not a team to be taken lightly but they'll need to prove they can compete against the top tier of the conference. They'll have their chance as people will be paying attention to how they handle the Current and compete against the Valiant.

7. (+1) Niagara Current 6-5
They didn't exactly leave Washemplae shaking in their boots after narrowly defeating them but a win is a win. They had an easier time against the Gigantes but didn't put up too much of a fight against the Valiant. They will continue to talk in this forum but their up coming games against the inconsistent Strikers and the Seminole Juggernaut will give them a chance to make people listen. 4-1 over their last 5 games should be the goal, but 3-2 will be more likely.

8. (-3) Oshawa Turtles 6-5
Three straight losses, two of which were against lesser opponents, is not the kind of noise the Turtles were looking to make. Their 20 point loss to the Valiant probably didn't raise any eyebrows but dropping games to the Gigantes and even the surprising Strikers did. They have two easy games cued up to help get back on track but they are going to have to make some changes if they want to keep it close against the Seminoles and the Hurricanes.

9. (0) Saskatchewan Gigantes 5-6
The Gigantes seem to show up when they want to. They upset the Turtles and played the Eh's close, but scored the final 10 points in the game against the Current just to get within 12 points. As the playoff picture shapes up, they are probably going to be just on the outside. They'll have their chance to make some noise in their game against the Strikers, but it's doubtful. Who knows what could have been if they had drawn an easier out of conference game in week 1.

10. (0) Winnipeg Washemplae 4-7
They fought a tough battle against the Current but came up on the short end. They are not a bad team but chemistry keeps them down. They have games against the Gigantes and Strikers coming up and they should try to play spoiler because that is about all the hope that they have left. 8-8 would be an accomplishment but unlikely. They should probably be looking ahead to next year when they'll have a better shot.

11. (0) Bad Harbour Hackers 4-7
Their head to head loss against the Washemplae make it impossible for the Hackers to jump them but they have been playing well of late. They really only have 2 winnable games left on the schedule and won't fair well in their games against the Hurricanes, Titans and Eh's.

12. (0) Queen City Bandits 3-8
The Bandits came up short against the Hackers and things aren't going to get any easier this week against Titans. The Esquimaux offer the Bandits their only remaining respite but they could make the game competitive against the Current in the final week of the season.

13. (0) Grise Ford Icicles 3-8
They beat the Esquimaux this week and that will probably spell the end for their appearances in the W column. Hopefully they put up fights in their remaining 5 games, but probably not. It is more likely that they've packed everything up and are gearing up for next season.

14. (0) Bosphorus Oftas 2-9
They couldn't keep it close against Queen City and their season is over. They won't play another close game all season. At least they picked up wins against the Permanent Waves and the Esquimaux.

15. (0) Arctic Blubberin' Esquimaux 1-10
They ended their long losing streak against the hapless Toronto Permanent Waves. Quite the accomplishment to heave themselves off the bottom of the pile and record their first win in the history of the franchise. Congrats.

16. (-1) Toronto Permanent Waves 0-11
Toronto looks more and more familiar as they continue to do their best Detroit Lion impression. Of course the Waves would probably be happy to keep it as close as the Lions did. They are now the proud owners of Canada BBB #8 Eastern Conference's longest losing streak. Here's hoping that Beefcake's Swords of Chaos can pull it out against the Regina Pocket Rockets in two weeks so the Waves can own that distinction for all of Canada BBB#8.

Great Write up talent! I agree with it just about completely. I personally see the Seminoles as the team to beat in the conference! No matter if it is East or West!

great job as always man. good point about washemplae's chemistry being a factor. we've come along way from game 1 when the roster was basically all CPU players.

Thanks for the support guys, they are fun to do and it gives me a chance to be a sports writer for a day haha.

Washemplae are a pretty good team on paper, but chemistry factors in a big way. You'll be alright though. Next season should give you a shot.

Yup. Gotta give AllTalent his due. I agree with everyone that it's a great writeup. Keep up the good work. The owner and other GMs of the Gigantes appreciate it.

Haha, I know what you mean. If a ranking looks interesting from the opposing conference, I check it out but I really don't care about any team.
