I was wondering if any of your teams have been experiencing this issue as well. I've been sending in the reports of this when it occurs to the Capitals to support but so far all I've got as a response is from Thorn asking for a few more details in regards to it.

How frequently does your AI seemingingly neglect your input and just run another offensive play on absurd 4th down situations?

Frankly, I hadn't ever cared too much because we seemed to convert these ridiculous 4th down attempts more often than not ... and then we had our hearts broken.


So, if any of you have similar cases -- and your offensive AI tester even tells you your AI should have punted -- please send them to me so I can continue building a bigger stockpile of evidence.

check your Quarter Specific settings. Maybe you have something in there that overrides the punt input.

Those are tested on the AI testers too, right? There are no other matching outputs besides Punt. I tested it as well and put the exact situation in there. The first one listed, that is.

Yeah, no over riding with no other matching outputs.

I wonder if I should copy my punt setting into each quarter to play it safe -- but the offensive AI tester still yielded 100% Punt and yet the game results in a non-punt.

And now I have a concern as to having two matching punt inputs ... will the game get confused and now throw them BOTH out!? Ahh!

do this. itll override everything else unless you have a special circumstance (ie down with <2 minutes or something).

Yah that is crazy. If the AI tester says punt and that is the only option when you test it, then it is a huge bug. I have not seen the issue come up with our AI yet but I will let you know if it starts to happen.

I've now seen it across 3 games with 2 different teams. Something ain't right going on.

I know it shows only 9 seconds left, but this was the 1st quarter. There's nothing in our AI that would have us going for this. I mean come on, 4th and 12 on our own 14 and we go for it?!?
