***** Cook Island (8-1) vs. Banzai Nites (8-1)
I hate being the 5 star game, but how does this one not have the makings of a great game? Zeta's two current top teams. The winner sets themselves up nicely for the stretch run and clinching a home playoff game plus a possible #1 seed (not that a #1 seed means anything with the teams that will make the playoffs).
PREDICTION: Abstain

**** Cajun Crushers (7-2) vs. West Scranton (9-0)
Two of Alpha's three hottest teams collide today. Many are forewarning the Invaders to not overlook this team. I just dont think that will happen. The top teams in Alpha only have a handful of games they look forward to playing, and this is one of them. West Scranton WILL be ready. Take a look at their scrimmage schedule, they take care of business. I dont see this one being close....IMO (NO disrespect to the Crushers, but WS is just playing too well right now and seems to have a handle on all the AI stuff).
PREDICTION: West Scranton (by at least 15)

*** Brisbane Heat (7-2) vs. Vanuatu Kava Sharks (7-2)
Another monster collision. Two teams that WANT this win. This would be a huge win for either team. A win can put both teams in the running for the #1 seed in Zeta. This is a game I will be watching closely. The Zeta winner this season will have at least 2 losses IMO, so this game is very important.
PREDICTION: THE HEAT

** Samoa Gangsters (6-3) vs. SoCal BDC (6-3)
Another very important game. Amazing that the loser of this game "could" miss out on the playoffs. Both teams are solid. This one will come down to planning and TO's. BDC is quietly the hottest team in Zeta right now with a 4 game winning streak. After a 2-3 start, they are the Cajun Crushers of Zeta. Teams better not sleep on this team. During this 4 game run, they demolished The Heat and Fiji Stingers (two VERY good teams). They seem to have their feet under them now. Look out. Samoa has two tough games here that they must at least get 1 victory out of. Then they get the favorable part of their schedule. This will be a tight one.
PREDICTION: BDC ( I have to stick with the hot team)

* Brisbane Bandits (5-4) vs. Canberra Strike (4-5)
This game means a lot to both teams as they battle to earn a playoff spot. A Brisbane win is a must, as they have a 3 game stretch coming up against The Bomb Squad, Tits, and WS.
A win by Canberra sets them up nicely, as their schedule is VERY favorable down the stretch. They could easily be a 10 or 11 win team by the end if they get by The Bandits.
PREDICTION: Strike

Banzai in a barn burner that will be decided in the 4th quarter.
Scranton in what I think will be a blow out.
Kava Sharks.
Samoa will gut out a win over BDC
The Strike are looking good to me.

Great write up.

Some really good match ups this week.

Cajun is going to be VERY tough and I could see that one going to the wire.

Nites in a "too close to call" matchup
Kava Sharks, also in close game.
Samoa/BDC, very tight.
Strike by 3.

Honestly the Cascade vs. Scranton should not be close, I guess we would not be lucky enough to have one of those Sim f**ks go our way for once.

The other 4 games are really going to be great, really great week of matchups down the line.

~Nites & Convicts = slugfest. I'll pick the Convicts just because no one else did.

~VKS & Heat another toss up. I go Sharks because their initials VKS sounds like something I caught from a Mexican hooker, man that was a great time.

~Samoa vs. BDC - can you say revue old rivalries. I look for Samoa to rebound.

~ Air Bandits vs. the rumbling stumbling Strike - I will take the ground game any day. Strike in an offensive showdown.

Shocking score right there. Not the result, as it was a tight game that looked to go either way.

But the Heat killed'm.

No one even thought the Brisbane Air Corps would win? Not one?

Air Bandits are for real. Defense came up and played a tight game. Bandits Special Teams are always a determining factor.
