Eastern Conference Games:
Ferris State 31 - New Orleans 24
Aggressors 34 - Myrtle Beach 3
Oakland 17 - Nashville 7
Footstar 35 - Montreal 34
Chicago 28 - Midway 13
New York 21 - Cleveland 0
Virginia 24 - Tuscaloosa 23
Maine 17 - Gulf Coast 7

Western Conference:
Nebraska 21 - Minnesota 0
Las Vegas 28 - San Diego 13
New Paris 14 - Kentucky 3
Chicago 24 - Anchorage 21
Kansas City 17 - San Jose 14
Upstate NY 20 - Waterloo 13
NY-CA 34 - Houston 6
Vancouver 24 - Ketchikan 21

Games of the Week:
Footstar v. Montreal - Montreal could give Footstar all it can handle with their emerging QB Anthony Taylor.
Ferris St. v. New Orleans - Will Ferris State step up and hand the Big Easy their first loss? We'll see.
Vancouver v. Ketchikan - Probably the biggest game of the week. Clash between two 3-win teams early in the season. I think Fouts and Zondervan have a big day and hand Kampers their first loss.

Oh, and I like the Knights and the Ites to get their first win this week.

No disrespect, I really don't know all the teams yet, mostly picking these out of my ass.

Hey, I figure if I make guesses for every game then I should get close on at least one.

Just wondering but what made you predict a 24-21 Vancouver win? I didn't think many people would have given us the respect to have a shot at upsetting Vancouver.

This team is a lot better than our levels say we are.

Maybe I think the Kampers are better than they appear at first glance, and this was only the second game with real competition for the Terminators from what I've seen. Vancouver looks like a team that has trouble figuring out how to use all its weapons.

Really? Why do you say that?

Defensively a very impressive team in the early going. Offensively, not so much. To me a team that has trouble scoring is vulnerable to an upset. Vancouver hasn't broken 20 against the two decent teams it's played to this point. With the higher levels on Vancouver compared to their competition, that to me translates as problems using their weapons (or bad builds). Throw out the Sharks and Ites and just look at the competitive teams they've played. (No offense meant to the Sharks or Ites. I fully understand how hard it's been to field a full and active team from scratch.) Do you disagree?

I do. Game 1, still adding some guys, figuring out what we were going to do. Game four, resting starters, emphasising reserves, tinkering with the new energy tactics, playing less intensely, doing just enough to win, but really getting ready for the next game. Really, imho, for both the Blackshirts and the Terminators, tomorrow's game is the first real test. I am certain it's going to be a close game.
