well, I lost the battle for Free Agents with a massive 100% strikeout rate. then lost other players due to apparently not caring enough to renew a contract.

so the team is pretty much dead. thought I'd give a friendly headsup to the league we have struggled in for 5 seasons. this 6th one is pretty much roll over and play dead...

yeah we can likely win 5... but so what... things will only be worse next season and I do not have the energy to turn the ship around.

So I presume an exodus will commence eventually. I'll try to ride out the season but if folks request a release I will give it.

yes I could have signed several lvl 25 or lower players with half-assed stats to fill in the gaps... and that would have done nothing to improve our performance... so why bother?

Good luck in the future no matter what happens.

The grind can be brutal. I do understand. That melancholy feeling after not winning sucks. Season after season it can wear ya down. Admire you for sticking it out till the end. Alot just announce they are done and bail. Or just bail.

Longhorns had to deal with a 2 win season in season1 and a 6 win season in season2, which almost destroyed us financially. Since then it's been 9 or 10 wins in Seasons 3-5. I was about ready to quit once too.

It's unfortunate to see you guys fold. We have had some good games with you guys.

Do not go quietly unto your grave.

And the West gets even more top heavy!

heh yeah I found it amusing as well because I'm an Aggie. Some fairly even battles for a few seasons.

as for the rest of the stuff related to trades etc, that's gonna need to wait a bit. I won't be making any moves for a few days as I wait for the rest of the team to check in and decide their course of action.

yes I will likely move my own guys out to various teams etc but I'll be the last to leave the ship as I am the captain

slow build! It saves dying teams and can give time to rebuild/renew!


with the amount of teams vs. free agents worth half a damn it is pretty bad, bort needs to stop making new leagues and relegate entire leagues down to 13 capped leauges based on CPU, maybe shift a few teams over to other conferences or whatever, but the amount of teams folding is getting ridiculous, we need a fix.
